My husband has the premium salmon cakes. I had pizza. We shared mac and cheese. My husband said the premium salmon cakes were ok. Nothing special, but no complaints. The pizza was thin crust and good. However, the mac and cheese was outstanding. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the cheese was tangy and gooey.

Second visit, came last year when visiting Oban and made a bee line for this place again after such lovely fish and chips last year. Not disappointed as again had a super plate full of fish, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea all for £11. Not many tables as premises are take away but if... More

Fabulous lunch yet again in the Oban Fish & Chip shop! Discovered this little place a few years ago and manage to pop in about once a year (when in Scotland) for the best fish and chips ever. Fish, chips, peas, bread and butter and a hot drink for £11.00 which is excellent value. Everything is cooked to absolute perfection... More

This place was recommended to us by family members when we said we were visiting Oban. We will not be back. The greasy floors should have given me a clue when we walked in. If you or any of your group are infirm or even unfit then please take care on the floor. They try to combat this by placing... More

This shop window states that it served the best fish and chips that Rick Stein had ever tasted. Really? I ate there on Friday evening and it was pretty bad. The chips were dreadful and the fish was mediocre at best. We are so disappointed as such an accolade from Rick Stein should have delivered a stunning meal. Never again!

An excellent place in town for some fish and chips. Very friendly staff, and while they do not have beer or wine on location you can bring your own to enjoy.

Had the haddock and chips here after a boat tour. The service was fast and the food was excellent. The tartar sauce was made in store and was very good. Expect to spend about $20 Canadian per person. I had a regular order and it was a very generous serving.

Came here after getting off the ferry at 8pm because we could sit inside to eat. The fish had a nice light batter on it and the chips were quite tasty too. Would go back if in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed our fish n chips in this lovely little restaurant. Staff were all friendly and helpful, the seated area was spotlessly clean. The fish (haddock) was cooked to perfection, melted in the mouth and tasted fantastic. The chips were crisp, and tasted like real chips should taste. If you visit Oban and you want the best fish n chips... More
