The room was welcoming but cold, and had to repeatedly ask for heater to be turned on. When my friend asked the manager about the heater an 1.5 hours into our visit, he raised his hand into her face and said he was busy! The food was generally ok, but when an issue was raised with the nachos, which were... More

Thank you for your comments and I am disappointed to read of our managers apparent attitude, and I apologise on his behalf. It certainly looks like you had a collection of issues across your whole stay which we are usually successful in recognising and 'nip in the bud', but it looks like we were unable to meet your expectations on... Best to give this place a miss (their famous afternoon teas may be better...). Understaffed - one waiter run ragged; one barman who then seemed to take over when the first waiter seemed to disappear. Lip service bland service and equally bland food - I had the posh fish and chips - with added king prawns (2 of, which were... More

Good size rounds table for conversations and eye contact, good food, unusual dessert choices, not the usual choices

The service was very good, the young chap was very pleasant and helpful. The food was disappointing. The sandwiches were ok, scone was nice enough but the cakes were disappointing. The chocolate cake was hard and the carrot cake was an end bit and felt very hard, I didn't try it.

Stayed here for 2 nights and only had a drink in the bar which was fine if you can cope with copious tables of women enjoying birthdays/ prosecco high teas etc

Been here twice within a couple weeks. The first time with a group of friends on a busy Friday night. Service was mediocre.. but the food was lovely and everyone enjoyed what the had. I next visited on a Sunday evening with my family and we were the only customers. Service was very good this time! We opted for the... More

Went on a Christmas deal and got excellent service and food despite being very busy. We had to correct the bill for being undercharged! Victoria, our waitress was most pleasant and helpful. We are going back.

Arrived 7pm table reserved, lovely friendly welcome . Food was gorgeous and plenty of it. We had chicken wings that were awsome and my husband said his nachos were the best. Then for mains, steak, tagliatelle and cajun chicken. The only thing I would say is the cajun chicken had slightly too much herbs on it a bit overpowering. The... More

Fantastic evening - bring a party to a party prohibition night was excellent. Food really high quality apart from the pate, but rest was extremely enjoyable. The Thyme of the evening was great fun with the absolute highlight of the evening being the flapper dancers - they were excellent. These girls totally added a great feature to an already great...
