First visit to this restaurant on recommendation of Tripadvisor. We were greeted warmly and service was both friendly and efficient. We had a main course each. I had the roast beef which was excellent. It is not cheap but food was of a high quality. Would certainly return.

Visited the wine bar tonight for the first time in a yr, and was disappointed. The menu is limited, and hasn't changed, service was friendly and efficient, left wanting a little bit more

If you are looking for a place to eat good food in Ballycastle, you'll not regret visiting the Central Wine bar. It has a small but varied menu with a slight Italian feel, visit on a Sunday and you can sample their wonderfully succulent slow cook roast beef dinner. This place is very lively on a Saturday night. They have... More

Dropped in for very late lunchtime snack to be warmly welcomed and seated near a roaring open fire. The food matched the pleasant surroundings and we will return. Bought some of their homemade bread to enjoy later and to remind us of our pleasant visit.

On a midweek trip to Ballycastle my friend and I arrived late evening, however we were made to feel welcome and I believe the kitchen stayed open to provide us with dinner. The meals we received were delicious and no request was too much. Lovely wine list (Esk Valley) and coffees to finish,

Love The Central Wine Bar, it was a day for sea air to help the tummy bug and it worked. Ordered Brandy and Port to start and decided on starter size of the wonderful seafood chowder it did not disappoint and served with beautiful in house baked bread three types. In fact, felt so good I had another brandy and... More

After honeymooning in London for 6 days we had made it to Ireland where we'd stay for 10 days and travel all over. We stayed in Ballycastle for 2 nights and after we ate here the first night, we knew we couldn't chance going else where and had to eat here again! After our honeymoon was over we agreed that...
