We had pre theatre menu, £25 for three courses, I got black pudding which was like a up market sausage roll, tiny bit disappointed, but the chowder was excellent. but the main more than made up for that, lamb and garlic mash, wow was it good. We finished with an espresso and plum cake, will be back.

Went as a large group on Saturday night. Food was poor. Luke warm and very over seasoned. No side orders offered by waiting staff at any point. Bad food surpassed only by the appalling waiting staff. Rude, smug and unhelpful. Will never be back. The poor staff appears to be a common thread on the reviews....

This was just a five minute walk away from this restaurant which is not large and the menu choice is small, which often means excellent food. The food was very well presented and quite tasty. A few unusual flavours which worked well. Service was OK but not perfect. There was not much atmosphere in the restaurant which is a shame.

Having made a point of asking for a special, table to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary I was surprised to be put at the back of the restaurant in the dark in a table near the toilets with no tablecloth . Given that the restaurant was hale empty this was difficult to explain . I ordered the cod brandade and the... More

I took my wife and daughters to Telfords on Saturday 11th March to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. The waiter put the wine list on the table and walked off without any further discussion.I studied the champagne list and wanted to ask a question only to be told he was extremely busy. Then when I ordered a bottle of champagne I also... We had an excellent meal - each of the different dishes was both a pleasure to behold and to taste. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was allowed to "speak" for itself.

We have been massive fans of Tedfords for over 10 years. It has always been a treat going back each time, but that changed during our last visit recently. The normally exceptional service and food was distinctly missing. There seemed to be more than enough staff working, but they were not very attentive. Other tables were offered bread well before... I chose Tedfords for my special wedding anniversary celebration. When met at the door we were told that they had no detail of our reservation. Our name was not on the list. We were asked which part of the restaurant we had booked upstairs or down stairs. We stood for several minutes while he went and made some phone calls.... More

Quick business dinner with some US clients and all left happy. Food was excellent and service good. Still a bit heavy on the bill. In essence £50+ per person with 3/4 glasses of wine between four of us, but the food was good. Save yourself for dessert as they really hit the spot.

I'll start with the food it was great, but that's where it ends ,decor was drab and dull, atmosphere was non existent and it has been the most expensive meal I've had in Belfast, our dinners are usually the same wine 3 course cocktails so nothing extra to make price what it was £160 for 2
