I grew up in Belfast and Longs was always a treat as a young man. 30 years on since my last visit and I'm happy to say it hasn't changed a bit, and my own family now love it too. John and the staff were excellent as was the traditional fish and chips they served up. So fresh, tasteful and... More

We went for a family lunch. From the very moment we arrived in the car park to our departure we were treated in the most warm and respectful manner by John, the owner. The fish was beautiful and the chips were some of the best we have tasted. All in all an experience we hope to repeat next time we... More

I went here after our hotel, Jury's Inn, recommended them as the best fish and chips in Belfast. Jury's was right-on! The piece of fish was large, actually perfect, and the coating crispy, and fryed just right. There was a tremendous amount of chips, I could not eat them all. The setting is casual, and service was delightful. The owner... More

This place has a lot of history in preparing good fish and chips. On this visit, our first, We thought the fish was very meaty, quite delicious, and the crust was crunchy as it should be. The fish dinner comes with quite a bit of chips, but I prefer them crispy. These were not. And I had an order of... More

I have little to add to the other five star reviews here. The fish & chips are simply fantastic, the best I've found outside of The Galley in Annalong. However this is a very different experience with a tiled and panelled-glass restaurant that seems wonderfully untouched in decor for many years. The batter is very different from most fish &... Not a fancy interior but a local chip shop. Fish cooked fresh as I waited. The chips were superb. Drinks were a little over priced, but overall very happy and would highly recommend. The staff were very friendly. I can see why the photos on their wall are filled with visits from celebrities over the years. Little surprised the toilet... More
