Initially we were visually impressed but the food wasn't great. Starter of the bbq chicken wing were stone cold and had to be sent back. Mains were a let down too, hubbys cajun chicken burger was dry and relatively bland and my meatball rigatoni was slight over cooked. Also, enough pasta on the plate for 2 people!!! Staff were extremely... More

I met a friend here for coffee and a light lunch. We both opted for latte and the soup of the day - potato and leek - with a bread roll. The soup was delicious, the latte was great, but the roll was a bit on the small side. Overall though, very pleasant atmosphere and really good service.

I was staying at the Ramada hotel this restaurant is located within. It was set out to a high standard of decor. I was given a doubled sided menu, one with traditional dishes and the other with Indian dishes. I was there on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis so had a three course evening meal included. It was nice... More

Just squeezing in at >£20 for an excellent carvery. I don't think you could take a chance of not booking as it's so popular - anyway, I booked less than an hour ahead and was amazed to be greeted by my name as they recognised my voice. Pace yourself to get the best from this carvery. No complaints at all.

I called in to the Green Room for a lunch with my son. We only wanted something quick as time was limited and were delighted with the choice on offer. We both plumped for the open prawn and smoked salmon sandwich, which also came with a plump and juicy filo wrapped langostine tail, and a delicious marie rose sauce. The... More

We have been regular visitors to the Sunday Carvery for a couple of years now, and we have always been delighted with the standard of food and quality of service. We also have a toddler who when we visited last time was treated to balloon models and face painting, a really unexpected extra! He also loved the gift from Santa... More

The Sunday Carvery has become a pre-Christmas tradition for my wife and I. This year, we had our ten-month-old daughter for company. Dining with a baby presents quite a few challenges. As usual, the food at the Ramada is of a very high standard. Because it's a carvery, there is no waiting about, plus parents can take turns to get... More

I visited the sunday carvery with a group of 20 people to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. The service was exceptional from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. We had a guest with special dietary needs who received 1st class attention, nothing was too much to do. The staff were polite & attentive. The children were also... More
