Drinks, seating area, etc were fine. I wasn't impressed by staff discussing customers in hearing of other customers. The member of staff who was talking loudly and negatively about someone she knew at my table stopped when she saw that I was standing at the bar and could therefore hear her. Very unprofessional. I didn't taste the food and it... More

Called in with a couple of friends on Saturday afternoon. Not too busy and a nice crowd. Friends had the steak deal (2 x Steaks & sides with bottle of wine £30), and I had the Cod,mushy peas & chunky chips. All went down a treat. Again another great meal from McCracken's.

I had a cheese board with Stilton, apricot white cheese and brie, and a glass of cab sauv... Came with tapenade, gherkins, a sweet chutney, grapes and a few assorted crackers. I really liked my lunch. Oatcakes would have been nice. The other food was just bog standard pub grub. Crispy chicken was really just goujons. Napa slaw was old... More

Had a groupon deal which had to be used by end March - wish i had went sooner. Food was delicious, yes menu is limited but there is a vegi option a fish and a meat so all tastes are covered. I highly recommend this wee gem. Get it back on groupon management!

Good wholesome food, menu slightly limited, though. Accommodating, friendly staff and nice buzzing ambience.

Stopped here as seen a couple of billboards on the street, more modern that some of the pubs we had been in to and the general surroundings are very nice Ordered what we wanted, lady then brought over our drinks and very relaxed about taking money etc, almost like being in Spain - i had a Porterhouse steak which was... visited McCrackens bar with friends for lunch on Saturday last 11th March 17. As usual the bar was very clean, the staff welcoming and the atmosphere was great. When I looked at the menu I was disappointed to see no Salads and as I can;t eat a lot I asked the waitress if there would be any chance of getting... More

Ate at McCrackens last night on a living social deal. Food great and very friendly staff. Got chatting to the waitress who mentioned the steak night for 2 people including a bottle of wine for £30. Will definitely back to try it. Lovely atmosphere and great music playing in the background.
