After some great reviews I Tried this for a takeaway and was incredibly underwhelmed. The Syrian beef was reasonably good but the chicken byriani was a bland non event, very poor. There were only 3 pieces of chicken in the meal which was not accompanied by an interesting sauce but by mass of gooey white dip that looked like it... More

Out with couples for the evening booked a table at Mint & Mustard. Nice contemporary interior, staff really friendly, service brisk. The food was a cut above your average Indian fare (although to be honest standards are quite high in Cardiff), but very different from its sister restaurant, Chai Street. It was the sort of menu where you couldn't resist... More

Went with a group of "dads" for a school night out away from the family. Came recommended by two of the Indian members of the group. We ordered quite a bit from the starter and main meal selection (there were 5 of us and it had been an intense week and it was a Friday night). The food was very... More

Exceeded all expectations! Each plate was exquisite and packed with flavour. I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to hot spicy food, but I hate it when restaurants just dumb it down with coconut or cream. Definitely none of that here! None of the dishes brought me out in a sweat, but every one was so full of... More

Over a lifetime I don't know how much is spent on having an Indian. This is a bit special though and on a different plane. The flavours are complex and not necessarily what you'd expect. I had a crab starter, chicken thali and Indian dumpling dessert. Wife had scallops, prawn and mango curry and ice cream. All were really delicious... More

Recently visited this restaurant in Cardiff with 4 family members and we all had a good experience, The food quality is very good but the portions are average and very expensive. You also need to book your table over the weekend.

I raved about the Purple Poppadum last year, thought we'd go again this year, and was persuaded by those who know to go here. Everything PP did right, M&M do right as well. Lovely, delicate spice and heat, unusual ingredients and recipes, and pleasant service that veered between over- and under-attentive. Even the okra was delicious, not the overcookedslimy mess...
