Appalled that I turned up with large family on a Sunday, having phoned to pre book and been told a full menu including Sunday lunch was on offer, along with a full vegetarian menu. Turn up to find they only serve Sunday lunch and 1 vegetarian option, and no child vegetarian menu.

Had a few glasses of wine in here yesterday on a trip to the Beacons. Staff were great and the locals were friendly enough, definitely one for popping to if you're in the area. Wine was ok (they only do those little bottles) but they had a few ales on too. Recommended.

As cliché as it may sound, I didn't think places like this still exist anymore. Very homely and welcoming, food was fantastic, service was superb, children's meals were actually proper meals and the costs were very reasonable considering the quality of food and how good it all tasted. I literally have nothing negative to say, this was the type of... More

The owner was so kind and generous. We stayed here for a school reunion and the accommodation was perfect, the food supreme, the bar warm and cosy (heated by two fires) and altogether i thought a lovely venue. Everything was very well priced and almost too cheap for what was on offer. I just wanted to say thank you and... More

Stayed here on a North to South cycle trip. The rooms are clean, fresh and comfortable. Evening meals and breakfast superb. Family run pub that provides a friendly warm welcome at very reasonable rates!

We stayed across the road from this Inn and ate there on 3 different occasions. The food was excellent and very well priced ( an up market pub grub). We found the staff and locals very friendly. Worth visiting when in Brecon.

Description
The Clarence Inn is a "Pub that does food!"
Our aim is to provide quality food and drink in a pleasant and friendly environment, with the attraction of a large beer garden with real grass and occasional sunshine. Home cooked Sunday lunches are extremely popular so booking is advisable. And cooking your own steak on one of our super heated rocks is definitely worth a try.
