While on holiday in North Wales, my wife and I found Betws-y-Coed to be a very dog friendly place to visit with riverside walks and a railway museum that accepts dogs. We even took our dog on a miniature train ride. To cap a very pleasant morning we had a superb lunch in a dog friendly area at the Gwydyr... More

My compliments to the chef. Tastiest food I have had in any hotel. Would highly recommend the food and the service.

Stopped here to have an evening meal. We were made to feel welcome. Meal was usual pub standard but ok.

Decent stay at this hotel. Downstairs the bar and restaurant had been recently renovated, but the bedrooms (or the one we used) still needed a professional renovation. The rooms were spotless but the finishing touches to the decor let it down.

We booked a table just in case on Saturday night as recommended by staff in case it was busy.Ate in the restaurant which was great with a nice atmosphere.Crispy belly pork and BBQ ribs were both excellent and very reasonably priced.Staff apologised for a slight delay but we didn't have long to wait at all.Would definately eat here again.

Beautiful, but old and comfortable. Staff very welcoming. Fairly noisy once the traffic started as the windows were not double glazed. Fantastic yummy, omelet & salad made mid-afternoon for us

Excellent service and lovely food here. The chicken curry was to die for, great big portions, very nice desserts too. Couple of real ales on when we visited earlier this week. Very dog friendly, staff brought over a bowl of water for our dog and made a fuss of him. Will definitely be returning when we are next in Wales!

We have gone here to eat whilst staying in Betws Y Coed and I can say the food is delicious and very good value for three people. We eat in the bar area which has a mix of the period decor and a modern colour scheme. I can recommend the Braised beef in peppercorn and stilton sauce and they don't... More
