We called here for lunch en route to Cotswold Lavender and had booked ahead because of the current restrictions. It's just as well we did as the place was understandably busy. We chose an outside table, they were well spaced out with a table containing sanitizer nearby. Loos were one in, one out. Staff were very efficient and friendly. I chose the seafood platter and my husband had the steak and ale pie - we both really enjoyed our meals.

We stopped in Snowshill as this is where a Wedding Scene in Bridget Jones Diary was made. It is a truly picturesque and charming village tucked away from any busy roads and extremely tranquil. There is one pub in the village opposite the church and we went in just to have drinks and sit outside in the rear garden area. The pub was packed with many people enjoying what looked like terrific sizeable meals. We were served very quickly and sat outside in the sunshine soaking in the atmosphere and the timeless surroundings. It is certainly worth a visit and there is free parking literally 5 minutes walk outside the village which is ideal.

Expectations were quite high, the area was absolutely stunning. Two of us had an evening meal and we were disappointed with the standard of food. The prawn salad with brown bread and butter was a pile of iceberg lettuce, prawns with rose marie sauce, a sliced tomato and slices of cucumber, with a piece of sliced white bread and butter on the side. The waitress did apologise as they had run out of brown bread, but even so you would expect a good quality bread in this day and age! I was quite stunned to be served this in 2021. It was more like a meal from the 1970's! My partner had pie and chips which was ok but not great. The lemon tart was nice, I am not sure if it was homemade but it was nice. The staff were good and the pub itself was welcoming. We expected so much more from this upmarket part of the world. Also not sure how covid safe it was as the tables were very close together in a small room.

A group of us came here after stumbling across it on our trip to the Cotswolds. After looking over the menu, there was no vegan options whatsoever and after asking at the bar we were told that chips or peas were vegan or we could have a jacket potato. Even the veggie burger was not vegan. So with a jacket potato and beans being our on my option, we were charged £19 for these two potatoes which came with coleslaw, which after checking with our waitress, wasn’t even vegan and we couldn’t eat anyway. The lady at the bar was rude and blunt and wasn’t at all apologetic for having barely anything we could eat and the prices were awful for what we received. Would not return or recommend.

Faggots cooked rare inside which many wouldn’t like. Battered cod overcooked to fibreglass consistency. Chips didn’t taste fresh and the mushy peas had a rather unpleasant flavour. This was very average pub food we thought time had left behind. Bang up to date prices goes without saying.

En route to Snowshill Manor, noticed this lovely pub and decided to call for a pint. We were warmly welcomed by the bar man, ordered our drinks, read the menu and thought “why not?”. Thankfully, following the barman’s recommendations, we ordered the lasagne and the faggots; the food was delicious (even our dog was given a treat or two!). Please, please take the time to visit this pub, you will not be disappointed and the photographic history is a beautiful tribute to bygone times which shouldn’t be forgotten.

Avoid this pub! Pre booked a particular table 2 weeks prior to visit, then visited the pub few days later to confirm the table we requested was still ours. Arrived on the day with friends & dogs to find the table had been given to someone else, probably locals! We had to sit at tables that had been cobbled together in the middle of the pub making it really awkward with our two big dogs. Bad attitude from bar staff in dealing with the situation. Food very poor, chicken portion small, over cooked and dry, the other meals were of similar standard. We live in the surrounding area and can happily say we will not be visiting this pub again.

My husband + I decided to visit the Snowshill Arms for lunch. We both now wish we had chosen somewhere else. On our arrival, despite us having reserved a table, + several members of staff standing behind the bar (one of whom was far more interested in twiddling her lingerie hair than welcoming us!) not one of them acknowledged us or handed us a menu. After waiting for several minutes my husband went yo the bar + asked for a menu - the male that handed them to him was far from friendly + didn't bother to explain that we had to write out our own orders + take them to the bar! Absolutely bizarre! Never been anywhere that you had to do this! My husband wondered if perhaps we had to go into the kitchen + serve our iron food up too! The food came quickly, however we had to ask for salt/pepper. It was mediocre + the atmosphere was extremely click, clearly favouring the village locals. Suffice to say we won't be going back there again!

Yes we're in Covid restrictions but no excuse for lazy,, unsmiling service. My lonely presence and order for 2 coffees seemed a real chore for the 3 staff members behind the bar. No customer service just told "wait there for your coffee". That's it. Then "well did you want milk or not". Asked if there's any cake or biscuits. Curt reply "no, we have ice cream". I eat out a lot - rarely come across such lethargic service.

We visited this welcoming pub three times during our stay in Snowshill, a lunch and two evening meals. The first day we were fortunate with the weather and were able to sit outside on the terrace however the following day, due to wet and windy weather, we ate inside. That evening we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were very well looked after with the good Covid safety measures in place and very good individual, friendly, helpful service. The food was reasonably priced, promptly delivered, well cooked and tasty. I especially enjoyed the chocolate and peanut butter stack, delicious! We really enjoyed our visits and will return when we are in next in Snowshill. Thank you to Izzy and all at the Snowshill Arms.

Popped in for lunch halfway round the Stanton-Snowshill circular and had a lovely relax in the large beer garden at the back. Food was decent fayre (had 2 baguettes, can definitely recommend the ham as it was thick cut slices). A good pit stop if you’re driving or walking around this area

We've visited here a number of times over the last few years and it's been the same every time. Service is friendly, the bar fairly busy with locals and tables to eat are limited so best to book ahead. The bar os friendly but the beer choice is very limited. The Cotswold Gold is nice enough but the Donnington beer isn't great. Worth visiting for the amosphere though. The food choice is reasonable and the foodi is all good. The food is all pretty traditional and very much, no frills but it's good and portions are generous. So many pubs are trying to do somethig special and different, and sometimes it's nice just to get some old fashioned pub fayre. Recommended.

Met up with friends at this very welcoming typical Cotswolds pub in a lovely small village. We were surprised at the quality of the food in relationship to the prices. The drinks were also well priced and look forward to sampling the Sunday roast

Pretty pub with good choice of drinks on tap. However, the food was very poor. The fish and chips were overcooked and cheap quality - tasted like it was from the supermarket freezer aisle. There are many pubs in the Cotswolds that serve great local food, so I wouldn’t recommend here for a meal.

We were served by a surly bar assistant, who was rude and unhelpful and really is in the wrong job. Lots of the choices were sold out including everything on the Specials board, prawns and new potatoes. The meals we had were basic frozen pub food. Personally, I would not go back.
