Where do we start rang up on Saturday evening for a takeaway told could be 30 minutes wait that was fine we were 40 minutes away and had further 10 minutes to go home from saffron to be told it would be 10 to 15...minutes more ,it cost £35 they were more interested in just eat eventually got our meal 20 minutes later so 50 minutes not 30 minutes as promised when we got home put the meal out can I just say a tesco box meal would have had more flavour the garlic rice was tasteless there was not alot of sauce in the korma or the bhuna the onion bhaji were like rock hard bullets the garlic nann was a plain nann the pashwari nann was dry and in both main meals the chicken was so dry so all in all the value was about £10 at best sorry but just an honest reviewMore
Excellent food, had a chicken jalfrezi & some paneer pakora with bread & rice. The curry was hot & fresh, it was nice having lots of little bits of chicken for a change, never had it prepared like that before. The paneer pakora are something...new to me, but I’d definitely have them again. Overall, delicious food, hot & fresh & came promptly too. Might have it again tomorrow!More
Absolutely horrific customer service food took 2 hours and was cold and one meal didn’t turn up only for them to tell me basically tough luck and I said I would return meal and then refused a refund.. avoid these nasty people
Meal ordered at 6:30 for 8:30 delivery. Arrived at 8:55 (cold). Asked the staff for a refund and told to return the meal and they would refund us!
I don't remember the date of our most recent visit but this place is on our permanent list for Take Away Asian meals.
Food is always delicious, with really good quality meat and delivered in a speedy manner. Their app is also very useful, plus you get 10% off compared to using Just eat. Curry portions seem a tad on the small side, but perhaps I'm just greedy.
...I have ordered food twice from here in the last 2 months as lockdown treats. The food has been excellent on both occassions and probably 4 or 5 stars. However, frustratingly on both occasions elements of the order have been wrong when we've opened them...up. Side order was palak pakora instead of chicken pakora and on a different occasion I had no vegetable curry side dish with my byriani (replaced with a dahl instead). I really love the food from here (my favourite house in Salisbury after trying a few) but this spoils treat meals a little.More
Had a take away recently and had mixed feelings about it. There positives and negatives but mainly it was not good enough for the price and long wait. Firstly, I ordered a chicken chilli tikka masala, when it arrived, it resembled more of a madras...to be honest. Not what I was expecting, which was a little bit of spice added to a bog standard chicken tikka masala. It was dark brown and was packed full of relatively hot green chillies. Tasted ok but was cold by the time it got to my house. Disappointing! Secondly, the Naan bread was absolutely tiny, like a 5 year olds portions. Had one garlic and one Peshawari for a ridiculous £5.50!!!! And they both tasted of nothing but both had good texture. Rip off ! Thirdly, the popadoms were like the ones you put in the microwave or like the pre made ones but a little larger. They were oily and tasted of nothing apart from oil. We got 5 of them costing a whooping £3.50, also they gave us no free extras of anything at all. Rip off ! Mostly the food was edible and ok to taste, not special though and cold on arrival. You could argue that we could have heated it up a little. However, I believe that if you offer a delivery service and when you are paying through the nose of below par food, the lest you could do it deliver it relatively hot. Obviously not piping hot. If you can’t deliver that standard then don’t deliver at all right? I don’t want to pay over £50 for cold food that Iv waited an a good while for and have to wait even more to heat it up. Or am I being persnickety ? I won’t be returning to this place. I’m well aware that this kind of pricing for food in my area is normal but I do expect higher standards. I accept no excuses aimed towards covid either, if that is thought to be an option. I really hope they improve in futureMore
We had been recommended this take away and so we thought we would try it. We ordered then an hour or so later still waiting. I rang the take away and the lady said they had been inundated with orders and she was sorry but...we were next. It did come 15 minutes later. It was awful, the Nann bread was cold. The mushroom rice was just white boiled rice with a few cooked mushrooms thrown in. The chicken in my Korma tasted rubbery. My husband had a chef special, that had an egg in when he cut it open there was a black mark around the yolk. It was really bad. Even the bagged salad was brown.More
