Great food for a special occasion, nice atmosphere but fairly expensive for what it is! Great cocktails though!

I'm no stranger to Browns really, and have visited numerous times, but only a handful of times to eat. We visited before it was due to shut for refurbishment, for dinner before we went to see a show. We got seated early which was great. Started with the Scallops and Beef Brisket from the Tender Beef menu- very well cooked... More

What a wonderful find, the food here is first class and not over priced for such a great restaurant. I recommend mussels and sirloin steak. Very nice inside and great atmosphere, I will eat hear again , they also sell full grilled lobster and very reasonable. Well worth a visit…..

I went with a friend for lunch last Saturday. The service was excellent. Attentive, friendly and un-fussy. The wine was delicious and we both thoroughly enjoyed the steak sandwich. The atmosphere was relaxing....we sat at the top by the window. It seemed busier and noisier lower down though. My first lunch in Leeds....I'll definitely be going back.

I went here for a meal with friends before some drinks around Leeds. We were given a very warm welcome by Kieran who showed us to our table. I accidently neglected to mention when booking that my friend was in a wheelchair however this wasn't a problem at all and we were seated in an accessible place. Kieran was very... More

Avoid. Not very good in any department. Particularly staff. Wouldn't go back, plenty of other places to go in Leeds. Not a patch on Cambridge.

Decided to try Browns before a concert at Leeds Arena and I was impressed. I ate off the teatime menu and had fishcakes and mussels for £11. I could not fault this and I am very critical. My friend ate off the normal menu and had no complaints. The location is good, the staff were very good, the food and... More

Came here for a family birthday celebration and I was not disappointed. The booking was easy and simple, ambience - busy but you could hear and it wasn't crowded - service was good as was the food - Cote de Beouf was shared and well worth the expense - we were not rushed from our starters to mains. All in... More

Visited previously & had a gorgeous raspberry Joan Collins but went last weekend with my boyfriend & ordered the same & it was bitter. It was pretty quiet & the atmosphere wasn't great

In hind sight I had read the reviews before I booked and was unsure about this place. How I wish I had heeded their warnings. The actual setting, decor, ambience is very good. Lovely for visiting for a cocktail etc. However what really lets this place down is the food. For starters I had the Parma ham, egg, asparagus which... More
