A local told me this place is terrific, but booking was essential Staying at a nearby hotel, it had gone just past six on a balmy Tuesday evening So myself and my colleague figured to just try our luck and hope they had a free...table just for the two of us Our luck rode in and we were seated towards the rear of the restaurant A cozy but comfortable setting, this restaurant specialising in Southern Indian, Keralan delights also have tremendously well trained staff Our server for the evening was a real cutie and absolute delight all evening, providing spot on recommendations We had a succulent stewed lamb starter and my colleague had the king prawn main and I went for the seafood main - both accompanied by lemon rice The level of heat in the spice was just enough to satisfy the palate and providing the kick you want from a curry dish, but not enough to overpower the tremendous flavouring that exuded from both the lamb dish and the seafood My singular complaint was the level of bearding attached to my mussel I’ve travelled quite extensively across this planet, including India itself But I don’t believe I have tasted a curry dish quite like what I enjoyed this evening Would I return…..in a heart beat and it may be again this week before we head back down southMore

Sought out this place whilst working in Leeds. So impressed the first night I managed to sneak in a second visit before catching my train the following evening. Great food and beers, and lovely people.

Although busy with a corporate booking they kindly squeezed us in and we had a wonderful meal that was so much more interesting than standard 'english' curry. South Indian Keralan was superb, wonderful flavours. My client had the lamb and i had the house recommended...fish. Would certainly go back when next in Leeds.More

I visited recently with friends and we shared a variety of dishes. Each one we had was very tasty but I particularly enjoyed the Meen Koottan (Keralan fish curry) and parathas. The staff are lovely and friendly. Need to come back and work my way...through the rest of the menu!More

We went on a recommendation from our son and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived, and there was a great, lively atmosphere with all other diners obviously having a great evening. 1st visit on a recommendation and everything was outstanding. Booked a table for half past 6 and its a good job we did as it was full and people without a booking were being turned away. Fo o d delicious staff so friendly despite being...busy they had plenty of staff so no waiting for service.More

I love dosa, and don’t often get to eat it at home in Canada. We were delighted to find it on the menu here, in both vegetarian and chicken versions. We had the chicken, and it was exceptional - best I’ve had since the Woodlands...in Delhi.More

Great meal had here with friends. Delicious food and reminded me of my travels in South India. Absolutely loved the paratha. Can't wait to go back again.

I would have scored this 5 stars but for a couple of minor things; quite a wait for starter - was quite busy for a Monday night. Very noisy - maybe an acoustic thing but good atmosphere and noisy can be a fine line. Slightly...expensive but the quality of the food was excellent. Probably the best lamb curry I have ever tasted - great depth of flavours and good quantity, partners paneer and spinach also very good and the paratha was gorgeous - I have had this style of paratha before and it can often be undercooked. It's a good while since we last visited this restaurant and the food and service were great but.... they made our booking for 1.15pm knowing full well that the restaurant closes at 1.30pm but we were not aware of this, so the nice, leisurely lunch...we were looking forward to was somewhat curtailed by the staff hovering around with their coats on waiting for us to finish. Anyway, that was the only downside to this visit and we will certainly be back again in the future but will book an earlier slot.More
