Reliably good place to escape the mayhem of Central Leeds. Can be a bit genially rough at the edges esp late at night but that's part of its charm. Proper pub with proper people. Close to the markets so all sorts of interesting people pass through. Great live music and really really good range of real ales. Not a huge... More

The Duck and Drake is close to Leeds market in the oldest part of the city centre. It is a no-frills drinking pub which puts on live music (OK so that is a frill) Always a decent selection of cask conditioned ales on the bar when I have been in.

Worth to go there. Is an old style British pub with live music and open mic sessions on Wednesday. Good selection of ales as well.

This is the local Leeds Pub. If you are a non-white guy, with a white girl, avoid this place. If you like live music, and good paintings of rock-stars that reside in the Olympus, visit this place.

After a trek to find this, had a great couple of ales. Great selection and great staff. Despite a couple of our team being a little OTT, they managed them very well.

Probably one of the best pubs in Leeds. It's stayed steadfast through all the trends and fads and now the world has caught up with it again. Watching a live band here, is like being transported back to the late 70's. A great venue and a great pub.

Good beer and good music. We called in while waiting for a bus and we were really surprised- it was a nice quiet pint (very good variety of real ales) with friends with good music playing in the background.

Rough hole serving proper beer to rough looking customers. Top music. Live bands. Excellent beer garden - and outside bogs.

Visited here in the day and enjoyed a few of the large selection of beers and a pork pie which was great and visited at night to watch a live band which didn't disappoint. I'm not from leeds so I don't know the history of the place but it really has the feel and atmosphere of one of those great... More
