We went here on a Saturday night and wasn't too busy, the food was nice and my friend has allergies and the kitchen we're brilliant and brought out some alternative veg for him. Lovely little find and nice food, the cakes in the cabinet are not as good as some places but nice.

The 6 Acres is very popular for its Sunday lunch and the carvery. Its probably because it leaves you very full, you'll certainly not want for anything. However it does depend on if you want to be full with some fairly bland food. The meat is a little dry, the veg all tastes the same, it's in luke warm water... More

Having just moved to an area nearby, we decided to visit the pubs close by. First on the cards was the 6 acres and we were really impressed. Big portions! Good variety of food on the menu, the meat from the carvery was great- veg was slightly hard though. Overall, we would definitely return.

We went for a family birthday (age from 50+ to 4years) as we were a large party we were placed in a large dining hall with only 2 other parties, so not a lot of atmosphere. The food is excellent though. Well cooked and good portions. I had to avoid the sweets, but I can say the choice looked amazing!... More

My husband & I used to visit frequently, especially on Sundays for the carvery. However at some point over the past year they started serving what can only be described as tinned carrots - such a let down. This place used to be great, now I'd rate it as ok... I'm sure it's changed hands and despite receiving lots of... More

Visited here to sample the carvery - we weren't disappointed! Good value for money, amazing selection of cakes and puddings. Pub had seen better days decor wise but it all added to the charm. Interesting looking outdoor play area for children
