Exceptional service - highly recommended

My family and I visited the restaurant for my sisters 30th birthday party, the service we received was impressive to say the least. The staff were very welcoming, we were late for our booking and were well late for the agreed food serving time however the staff and management didn’t rush us, they catered to all our requirements especially saba, she was extremely polite, friendly and personalised the service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to make your special moments even more memorable and special. As well as the exceptional service the food was delicious, fresh and full of flavour. 5 star all round. I don’t often leave reviews but felt the need to do so due to the service received. The food was tasty, satisfactory and reasonable in price. The management catered a package suitable for my budget. We also had young children with us, the restaurant was very child friendly.

Great food and amazing service. Manager was lovely and made good conversation whilst paying. AJ was serving and he was extremely attentive with great humour and very accommodating. Starter of chicken Seekh kebab was standard. Mains of chicken and lamb Karahi were full of flavour. Lamb was tender and both dishes very nice. Garlic naan wasnt special and poppadoms arrived already broken up. Mango lassi was room temperature. Would go back again but just order mains with rice and ask for the lassi to be cold. 8/10

Beautiful Restaurant, excellant service

Found this restaurant on our way back from a seminar in Bradford and we were not dissapointed! Welcoming attentive service right from the start, food was really good, especially the lamb karahi. The decor is beautiful and atmosphere was really nice. We would recommend this restaurant to others and if we are in the area again will definately visit them. All the staff were very accomodating and very helpful - absolute asset to the Restaurant.

Absolutely Terrible

We decided to eat out for Christmas and tried a change of place as we always go to the same few places for good quality food. After looking at Lahori gate, we saw a pretty venue and thought it would be a nice placer eat. We arrived and it was absolutely dead inside, with only 3 other families (one being a birthday meal) at the restaurant, we thought about leaving and going elsewhere but still decided to stay out and try out the food atleast since you can't knock it til you try it. We ordered our food and it took a little while to come, keeping in mind the place is very quiet. The food arrived and we ordered the mixed gril, the grill was alright, the onions were burnt to crisp and the Kebabs were not as expected. We then ordered the Lamb Kharai (on the bone) and what was delivered to us was just plain mush with random bones mixed into the platter to make it look like it's 'on the bone', again it was a burnt like taste and we weren't the only customers who noticed this, on our way out another customer approached us and made the same comment to then we made an official complaint and the waitress has no customer service skills, she responds in a defensive way 'This is our specialty'. Okay fair enough but if two customers are saying the same thing then I'm sure you would like to respond in a respectable manner. Overall we will not at all be returning. If they want to do well, they should listen to their customers and trial and error their food to something that would actually work for them. If you do decide to dine here, then I suggest you forking out money you are happy to lose, since you're paying for overpriced disastrous food.

Absolutely disgusting service

Went there yesterday I was appalled with the service and the staff. We got there 7.45 and was told to wait 45 minutes for a table which was fine. I gave them an hour.i approach them again only to be told it will take another 45 minutes so thats an hour and a half waiting time. Finally got a table at 10.00pm.Once sat down asked them how long before the food comes and the manager replied 50 minutes. We started eating at 11.00pm and even then the starters came first which was burnt. Some of the starters were missing. We had to ask for forks 5 times before someone got it for us. They don't have enough staff and workers are all young kids. Went to til and the lad asked me How was the food I replied dont ask me anything and he was billing me for the food we ordered but never got. Never again will I go again. There was so many families with little toddlers and they were waiting too. I felt sorry for the parents as the toddlers were getting restless. I would rather fry an egg at home and eat it. There were families who were there before me that were sat down roughly same time as us. I wouldn't recommend that place

The waiters were absurdly rude we had been waiting for more than 2 hours and food was still not served they had given us nachos to avoid us from leaving the restaurant. We asked them ample amount of times where was the food and they gave the same reply “itlll be done in 10 minutes”. We arrived here and 7:30 and it is now 9:30 and food still hasn’t arrived.

Visited Lahori gate 8th Aug for an evening meal... This place was awesome and did not disappoint... from entering the ambience was calm and classy and service was quick and efficient... vast choice of selection signature dishes which were all prepared fresh straight to your table and not forgetting the naan and roti which were hot and crispy.. I would definitely give this place 5 star ratings and for families wanting authentic cuisine it’s the place to go.

Delicious pre-theatre curry!

We booked a table for 6pm to eat before going to the Alhambra, it wasn't overly busy at this time and there is a huge car park, easily accessible. Service was friendly and very efficient, our food came timely so we had eaten and were on our way by 7pm - thank you. The restaurant is clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated. The food was lovely. We started with popadoms and pickle tray then I had 'nihari' lamb (stew) and was surprised to find the lamb served on the bone ... it melted off, so tender, and was delicious in the mildly spiced sauce. Wish I'd taken a photo but I just couldn't resist getting stuck in! Hubby ordered chicken jalfrezi which was gorgeous. Will definitely visit again, and we recommend as a very convenient and reasonably priced option for pre-theatre dinner!

Table of 7 booked on a Sunday. The most slowest service I have recieved at a restaurant ever. The waiters would come to the table take my request and disappear into thin air. We arrive at 6:30 the waiter had taken our order at 6:40 and the started arrived at 7:15 the mains arrived at 8pm. It was pathetic. We ordered a pickle tray at the beginning and the pickle tray nor popadoms arrived. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you have been recommended this place please do not go and go somewhere better.

Absolutely Great

I visit this place in Bradford, Manchester Road with 2 of my colleague’s back in August. The food and service was absolutely brilliant and the staff were very obliging with help with the menu. A great time was had so this is why I decided to try the delivery option and to no surprise I could not find fault with either placing the order, the delivery and of course the meal itself. Well done. The only gripe I had was that I could not claim the NHS discount online. But all in all very good

I went with my grown up daughter. It has a good sized car park and is easy to find at the bottom of Manchester Road. We went on a Wednesday and the place was a little deserted, apart from us and a group of Asian men (good sign if the locals eat there) The staff were attentive and helpful. Service was a little slow. Food was good but not exceptional. IMHO it seemed quite pricy at £20 each (being in Bradford) but it's probably me being old and tight. The décor inside is plush, however slightly let down by the surroundings which is obviously completely out of their control.

went tonight for my daughters 21st birthday meal. had a lovely meal, not one complaint from any of our 30 family members. nice friendly restaurant, we will Definitely eat there again. Special thanks to AJ with his sense of humour and hospitality, all staff did a great service nothing was too much to ask. Thanks again for making my daughters 21st birthday special.

Not Worth it

This was my 2nd time here at lahori gate, the first time was great. However this time was awful . there were no highlights. The mains took over 2 and half hours to arrive. when the food came it was cold. i ordered the butterfly chicken steak one side of it was burnt , also ordered garlic bread out of the 4 pieces two was burnt. Both the poppadom and mango lassie had a weird aftertaste. I would not recommend.

First time at Lahori Gate, stunning decor and attentive staff. Food was pleasant, fresh and well flavoured, however paneer tikka could be improved. A little expensive but great atmosphere especially for party or family.

Beautiful restaurant

Came to Lahori Gate all the way from Newcastle after reading reviews. Very beautiful and aesthetically pleasing restaurant. Service was very friendly and the food was brilliant. Really please to have chosen this restaurant and will definitely come again when I am in Bradford. Have been recommended to try the mix grill starter and lamb karahi on the bone next time so will need to come back for this. Recommend to visit.
