Do not ever order anything for take away!!!! Restaurant is showing you will get the food in 20 minutes and 1.5h later nothing the all possible apps just keep showing time changing longer and longer so obviously the restaurant doesn't have the capacity to serve...TAKE OUT. Any sensible manager would switch off all take out services like deliveroo/ubereats/just eat before the shift if there is no capacity. Very poor service.More
This was a family Christmas visit before going to the theatre. We booked a day earlier on the website and this was excellent. A return confirmation email in two minutes. However, we turned up to the restaurant bang on time and we’re ushered to our...table by a young gentlemen (only one working in the restaurant) although we were the only table at 5pm, so no bones there. The same gentleman took our drinks order which included a bottle of water for everyone. We then went on to order the food. One Philly cheese steak sandwich, one penne pasta, one carbonara, one rib eye and one bolognaise. The food arrived and the carbonara was only warm. The penne pasta was clearly Nuked as was the dauphinois potatoes. We looked for the waiter and he was no where to be seen. We eventually saw him behind the bar on his phone and requested the water we hadn’t received. He agreed to bring the water, but finished his phone session first. The water arrived as we had finished the meal. Children had a pudding and we asked for the bill. He asked if everything was ok with the meal to which my wife replied that her Carbonara was only just warm. He did not give any response at all to this and just walked away. It was only after we had paid the bill and left, that we noticed we had paid a discretionary 10% service charge for service where we didn’t even receive lip service but instead were blanked. This is extremely disappointing for such an establishment £130 bill is more than pub grub money and the food and service were not as good as pub grub.More
We had our works Christmas meal and everything was perfect. The staff couldn't be more accommodating for our varied requests. The choice of menu catered for everybody, and special requests were fulfilled. Nothing but high praise for everyone that works there.
My first visit to a representative of this particular chain. I had no preconceptions as I've never seen another one or even heard of the brand before. It looked appealing enough to lure us in and, although the decor didn't seem to reflect any particular...style or influence, it was attractive, clean and tidy, whilst well-laid out with ample room between tables. We received a bright friendly welcome without the usual probing about reservations. Maybe because very few were in when we arrived, although numbers built up healthily during the lunchtime period. The menu seemed to be biased towards pizza and pasta dishes with a few grilled items on offer too. I'm not a big pizza fan under normal circumstances but I did find my head turned by something called a Philly cheesesteak, mainly because of the steak reference. What turned up was quite a large, oblong, very thin-based specimen with ample meat and cheese, although not much indication of the supposed chimichurri sauce that was also mentioned. Helpfully pizza-cutter separated, it was easier to eat as finger food and I actually quite enjoyed it; filling and tasty. Mrs EPR had a four-cheese equivalent, indicated as "festive" due to several blobs of cranberry. Just about room for dessert, and I was very happy with my lotus biscuit cheesecake - very rich and creamy. Mrs EPR's apple crumble was value for money although somewhat well-nuked. I made a large glass of montepulciano easily last during the meal, its quality was far better than I would have expected. During our stay only one guy was looking after all the tables and doing so with considerable ease. Other staff, including our friendly greeter, seemed to be lurking at the back of the room for a very restrained lunch break. Overall, we enjoyed our visit quite a lot. No rush, a civilised atmosphere and efficient service so not a lot to fault. We'd be happy to call in again.More
Had a lovely meal here with my family! Great gluten free options and great portion sizes. It was a late reservation but we was so glad we tried this restaurant. Amazing staff and great atmosphere! I can't wait to come back
I came here with my partner yesterday and was absolutely blown away by the service and quality of the food. The waiter was really switched on to allergies and made sure that the kitchen were aware of my partner’s gluten intolerance and suggested the tiger...prawns (which were amazing) and even her steak and chips were made separately to avoid contamination. I had the steak which was cooked beautifully. There was a customer who was being really inappropriate with a younger waitress and the management and staff handled the ugly situation really professionally, it was great to she how the waitress’s well-being was prioritized. The class of the management, and staff service was exceptional. Thanks so much and keep up the good work guys! XMore
We always bring our friends and family to this friendly restaurant. They enjoy the atmosphere and a great menu with great staff. Chicken Nduja is recommended and the lasagne is consistently good.
It’s difficult to distinguish this restaurant from the multitude of other modern bistro-type establishments which are everywhere (think Cote, Bills, Prezzo etc.). However, it’s also difficult to argue against the model - clean, welcoming dining space, extensive menu with influences from many different cuisines, polite,...efficient staff. We had garlic prawns and rosemary garlic bread to start (lucky we both like garlic!). The bread was a thin crust pizza base variety, but the rosemary was a nice addition. The prawns were served on sourdough toast and were tasty. There were a lot of chillies on the plate, but it tasted like they were scattered on as decoration rather than cooked into the dish. The salmon with saffron cream sauce was nice, but the sauce was certainly more cream than saffron (and there was a lot of it). The Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was more of an homage to the original than authentic - it was served in sourdough toast rather than a bun, and I couldn’t taste any evidence of cheese. Having said that, the steak was tasty, tender and plentiful - so it certainly worked as a steak sandwich. I would eat here again, but I wouldn’t seek it out. Serviceable, but not memorable.More
Made a last minute booking for ten as another place had to cancel their food and everything was ready when we arrived. Alice served us and was happy and smiling even when we dithered! Excellent cider and great GF pepperoni pizza in nice quiet atmosphere.
I had lunch today with a friend at Wildwood and, once again, it was excellent. My friend said her calamari were well cooked and better than most. I had a chicken Caesar salad. The chicken had been freshly cooked as had the croutons - so...much better than some of the reheated offerings I have had elsewhere. A nice, crisp house white too. Our lovely, smiley server Alice was efficient and looked after us well.. I have never been disappointed by the food and service at Wildwood. Keep up the good work!.More
So a few years back we went to Wildwood in Port Solent and it was not very good at all. To be honest I would not have probably gone back to the chain but this branch looked nice from the outide. Cool on a hot...day, open windows and a quite inviting. So we gave it a go and boy it delivered. The service was very good, the 2 lads were super and the food was good too. The ladies enjoyed their cocktails and the beer was cold. It was perfect for us on a visit for CluedUp so just wanted some lunch, sort out our Sting masks out (he was in the police) before hitting the streets to find the guilty murderer along with over 60 other teams. I will go back when in Chi, just hope the service and quality is consistent and this was not a one off.More
Popped in for a cheeky evening meal and was very pleased with the quality of the food and the attentive, happy staff. Top marks all around, especially to Chrissy (think that’s right. Sorry if not) doing her first shift. We will happily return next time...we are in Chichester.More
Absolutely love going to Wildwood as the staff are so friendly, and we regularly visit. Food was amazing always a busy atmosphere and attentive service.
Antonio welcomed us warmly to the restaurant and seated our family, chatting and smiling with us. Liam served us toward the end of our meal with desserts and took the time to ask us where we were from and what brought us to Chichester and...seemed genuinely interested in what we had done that day. overall great food, fantastic customer service happy children and happy parents!More
