How wrong can you get beef burgers and onion rings. £12 for a 'gourmet burger which is clearly bought in and not even cooked through. A little pink isn't an issue and if made on the premises then maybe acceptable but these were raw ....More

Ignore the ‘grim’ review, this is a good honest pub and the food was fab. I had moules marinere. I go to France loads and this is a favourite for lunch. This was as good as any I’ve eaten in France. I guess the portion...More

We went here to eat but left after a few minutes, the food hygiene rating isn’t great and it’s all a bit grubby. I’m sure it’s a great public house but not somewhere I’d want to eat

It does not look anything special from the outside, but on a busy Friday evening before a bank holiday weekend the Red lion provided a great place for an evening meal. The food (go for something from the varied specials' board) was very good, the...More

Four of us came here for lunch on mother’s day. It’s a very busy traditional pub & it being a Sunday the obligatory roast was the main option on the menu (yawn) but to be fair they do offer quite a few other choices; fish...More

Visited with work colleagues for a buffet lunch. It was fab, really plentiful, fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was really impressed.

We popped in here whilst visiting the castle a couple of hundred yards away. It has an exterior that invites you in. This is because you can immediately tell it is a warm, welcoming pub without being presumptuous. We visited on Easter Sunday so you...More

I visited this restaurant with my husband and two adult children and daughter in law. We tried to find somewhere in Arundel to have lunch at 2.30 nearly everywhere was closed. This restaurant was open. The seating was not very comfortable and to be honest it did not smell very nice, but we had already ordered our drink so it was difficult to leave! I had asked for sausages and mash (but asked if the mash was made with butter - the bar person enquired and came back and said that it was made yesterday and the person who made it was not in! so he could not say! I had chips instead. So I had sausages and chips with runner beans which were cold. The sausage were not at all hot but we waited quite a while and so I did not complain. My son and daughter in law had steak and it was full of grissle and they brought the most horrible looking large mushrooms swimming in oil which dripped over the table. My daughter had a very indifferent hamburger, We felt the whole experience was bad and a waste of money I would never go there again!!!
