Came here for Afternoon tea that was bought for us for our first anniversary. It was one of the better afternoon tea's i have been to. The bread was very fresh and they were very accommodating to any changes we requested due to dietary requirements. The staff were all very friendly and it was a lovely atmosphere with the Christmas... More

Once again a marvellous stay at Coombe Abbey. Went with a group of friends and very much enjoyed my stay. The dinner dance event was very well organised and the food was excellent. Again, cannot fault the staff and the breakfast as always was amazing.

Very poor valve for afternoon tea. Tasteless cakes and the amount of sandwiches for both of us were not enough to feed a 5 year old. Cheap ham in the sandwiches.

There are no major defects in this establishment but attention to a few little details would transform it from very good to excellent. I appreciate that the subdued lighting in the corridors and ' feature' guest rooms is meant to be evocative of an era when that was all that was posssible but these days it soon becomes an irritation.... This was a great experience. Everyone was seated orderly and in good time and we were kept in our groups. The entertainment was jovial and excellent, definitely adult lyrically in song, but all in good fun. One must remember, this is a Medieval Banquet, the clue is in the name. The food was actually good, basic admittedly, as it reflects... More

We did a banquet night for a friends birthday. The evening was really fun, simple food but great service and so much drink provided that we didn't spend that much at the bar! The entertainment was really fun too! Would recommend and would go again!

Lovely room with the bathroom upstairs, a little overpriced though. A nice touch was the miniatures and chocs left at bedtime. We had a meal in the restaurant, service was great, but once we had eaten there wasn't anywhere cosy to go. It was great to get up early the next day for a walk in the grounds!

This hotel was everything and more. All the positive reviews were spot on. It is quirky, full of character and has a great ambience about it. Service was exceptional with a lovely sense of good teamwork. Restaurant food beautiful, expensive but the tastes were worth it! Bar drink area and bar food equally impressive. Missed enjoying afternoon tea as restaurant... More

We've just come back from the medieval banquet and have had an amazing time. The venue is stunning, felt very authentic with candles, statues and decor. The food was excellent, all four courses. The service can't be faulted. As for the entertainment it was just amazing, they got everyone joining in. We went as part of my husbands birthday celebrations.... More

What a lovely experience, the staff were attentive and polite and the food was perfect! A beautiful setting for a family girly get together, the price is so reasonable and we were able to have more sandwiches and plenty of tea. The choice of teas was also absolutely superb and the sandwich fillings and portions were spot on! My only... More
