Went for a curry this evening and is still the best in Coventry! The chief is very accommodating. The curries are fantastic with so much flavour. The chicken is moist and fresh. The sauce is not swamped with ghee. The side dishes are flavoursome too....The rice is perfect like the breads. Manwell the boss is so friendly as are the other staff. We live in Kenilworth and pass many curry houses but the Bengal is far as the best!! Hope to see you soon.More

We had the new special offer available Sunday to Thursday: starter, main with rice or nann &+ tea, coffee £15.95. It was possible to choose any curry from the main menu and ours was delicious, could not fault, highly recommend

We received a very warm welcome on arrival, the main restaurant was buzzing but a few tables were still available. We were seated in the conservatory area, just us three but it was lovely, it meant we could chat away in the peace and quiet....The drinks waiter was very attentive and found the exact wine I preferred, all the staff were very pleasant and very helpful. The meal was cooked, and presented beautifully. The cost was good for what we all ate. Would we eat there again? Yes, definitely!More

This is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Coventry, their mains are so rich and flavourful. I have been going here for 10-15 years and it is still as good as when we first came. The staff are also really friendly and accommodating

Lovely place for a meal Great choice on the menu. Good price. The staff were attentive and helpful. 2 of our party ordered the new authentic staff lamb curry. The lamb came on the bone but was thoroughly enjoyed. I had the chicken mushroom and...spinach balti which was very tasty lots of chicken and a nice rich sauce. A lovely meal.More

Have been using the Bengal since it opened years ago. It was always at the leading edge of modern Indian cuisine serving fantastic food created by head chef and part owner Bash. antasticly friendly staff were always on hand to help and meet every request....Sadly in more recent times it hasn't been great as Bash had a long well-earned 8 month break. The place didn't deliver to its usual high standards of food presentation and flavour. Don't get me wrong, it was still good, but quite simply, not as good. Well, I discovered that head chef and management Bash is back. Yes, he's back as is the excellent food, presentation and flavour. Front of house staff are back to their very best too. We have just eaten there for the first time since the return of Bash and all I can say is wow. The menu is mind blowing with old traditional dishes but now with Bash's take on the more modern cuisine. The way he cooks and presents food is second to none and no wonder he is an award winning chef. Mass keeps the running of the front of house in a very professional manner and it's a credit to him for sticking with it. If you are looking for top notch modern and traditional Indian food, then give it a go as you will not be disappointed. I and the rest of my family will become regulars again. Had a wonderful meal here. Staff very friendly, clean environment, prompt service, food arrived hot & well presented. The best vegetarian curry I have ever had, apparently a new dish, absolutely excellent. dining companions loved their dishes too. Definitely recommended.

Fabulous meal! We could not stop commenting al the way home on how nice the food was. Best curry we have had. Food was spicy, fresh and extremely tasty. The paneer rangamatti Naga tawa was divine! Maz and Albi always greet us with a smile...and nothing is ever too much trouble. Naan breads are the best we’ve had and we cannot wait for our next visit. Bash is an amazing chef, thank you for the delicious meal.More
