Service good. Good average. Price is higher than most in the city. Food is good well presented. Waiters need to back off a little... A bit over attentive. Not a good thing when you want some peace.

Twelve of us booked a meal here. We were cordially greeted by the staff and drinks arrived very quickly. We were taken to a downstairs room where we were looked after by 4 or 5 waiters/waitresses Quick service, wide variety of food deliciously cooked, great ambience. Can't recommend this establishment highly enough.

I was walking home from town and I left bullring so that I could get to Itihaas for 6pm which was when they just opened, because I wanted to get a starter to take away. The only reason I was there early was because of the poor service I received from my last visit. I was hoping that with no... More

This is our absolute favourite restaurant. Have to say we really miss them from when they were in Selfridges as the food was literally amazing there. But it is here too! Have been for lunch which was absolutely lovely! And for evening dinner too which also didn't disappoint. The taste of the food is always excellent, it tastes like authentic... More

My husband booked a meal at the restaurant for New Years Eve, the food is amazing and the staff are lovely! Very Friendly and really good service. Entertainment was great on the night, they had a great live singer, singing old school bollywood songs, had me dancing in my seat! Highly recommend this restaurant to all..!

This is my daughter's favourite restaurant and one of ours and we have always been served top quality indian food, along with a very friendly service, all the years we have visited Itihaas. Today's visit for lunch involved a trek across Birmingham from the QE but was definitely worth it. They have a great lunch menu and my wife was... More

I went with my partner and mother and sister in law to this restaurant. We were all looking forward to our meal. When we entered the restaurant seemed cold. We ordered a meat platter and a vegetarian platter. Not impressed with the cold plates and lack of presentation or the lack of English and courtesy from the waiters. The restaurant... More

We had dinner here before heading out into Birmingham for the New Year celebrations. The food and service were both simply amazing - not the standard run of the mill Indian menu but some really well thought out dishes.

After eating at the one in selfridges numerous times, and always looking forward to going, we were really sad to find it was no longer there & what has replaced it looks rubbish! Eating at the restaurant was just as delicious, lovely atmosphere & staff, we will be definitely returning!

My friends and I had decided to visit itihaas as we wanted to try somewhere different as we would normally go shere khans or visit lady pool road. We went on a busy Friday evening and had to pay £10 for parking. We did not have a booking and was seating fairly quickly but we were busy taking photos as... More

Itihaas is a stunning restaurant where contemporary meets traditional. No expense has been spared in achieving this, and as you step into this two million pounds restaurant, you will certainly see just that. The decor is clean and crisp with plate glass and slate finished walls. This smart and sophisticated interior is complimented by the 18th and 19th century Indian artefacts, including original paintings, carved stone elephants and 300 year old doors. Downstairs, the Maharaja Suite which also seats 80 is luxurious with opulent mood lighting and decorated with more Indian treasures. To complete the real ambience, behind 300 year old Indian wooden doors is the Tiffin Room which seats 12, complete with a bar, library and your very own dedicated butler!Cuisine in this fine establishment is created by award winning chefs and staff who come from Indian Five-Star Hotel backgrounds. They have a single aim - to be able to deliver the authentic Royal Indian dining experience to its patrons with utmost courtesy and hospitality. The menu will take you on a culinary journey through the North of India with a couple of stops through Kenya and vibrant Mumbai. At this royal eatery, indulgence is paramount.
