food is very delicious.. a very high end indian. properly and nicely presented. everything food wise on point. - you`d expect all to be spectacular giving the prices. what i dont particularly like is the automatic addition of the `service charge` in the final bill. i wish , as a customer, to have this option of giving and leaving tip... Despite arriving close to closing time on Sunday our party of six were warmly treated and served a selection of well prepared meals with each curry quite different from the next. More appealing decor than most curry houses but also slightly more expensive. We were not disappointed.

Visited Rajdoot last weekend. First impressions were favourable. Nice atmosphere and decor inside. Friendly welcoming staff. Orders taken in the waiting area, where I guess we could've had a drink before our meal. Then off to our table. The food was, quite frankly, delicious. My better half opted for the Paneer Makhani whilst I chose the Chicken Bhuna. In hindsight,... More

This was a tasty curry. Naans were delicious and the meat was tender. The restaurant was a tad quiet when we visited, but it had a nice atmosphere and the service was very attentive. Wine section was ok, but would benefit from choosing wines that would go with various dishes and add this as a guide, they would sell more... More

I have visited this restaurant on many occasions - as far back as the 1970s (although a different location then). The food is fairly traditional, but of a consistently good standard. The surroundings are very pleasant and the service always good. It has been in the same ownership for many years and I am always pleased to be recognised on... More

This is not my first visit to Rajdoot as I'm a big fan of the flavours and quality of the food and I've enjoyed every dish I've eaten here. Only off-putting aspect, and hence the 4 stars on this occasion, on this visit was the automatic 10% surcharge added at the end of the meal. I'm not against paying a... More

This is family run and friendly. Several parties do it was lively. The food was nice but a few more options to put on your poppadom would be nice. Also I do like the theatre of Indian dining where they wipe the plates, serve the rice and main. All lacking here. But no complaints. It was a good meal and... More

We've seen this restaurant many times when we've been driving down George Street and thought we'd give it a go. We hadn't bored but they found us a table in about 10 minutes, and it was quite busy inside. It's a very large, and quite high-end decor, and the staff are very attentive and approachable. The king prawn tandoori starters... More

Visiting in a group of 10 on a Tuesday afternoon. The restaurant was literally empty, except for us. Despite this, it took about 15 or so minutes for them to seat us at the table. However, that was the only negative part of the experience and it wasn't even a big deal. I just didn't think it was necessary. After... More
