Another reason to feel lucky to live in Moseley! I took my boyfriend for a birthday treat and we enjoyed every aspect. Stunning food, faultless service and a perfect dining environment. The staff were well informed and enthusiastic throughout. The sommelier was particularly helpful, and we loved being able to try a number of wines before settling on what we... More

I'm confused why I've taken so long to review Carter's, especially because I can safely say it's not just my favourite restaurant in Birmingham but also one of my favourite restaurants in the world, and saying that isn't me overdoing it. Everything from the atmosphere, the size of the restaurant, the attentiveness and knowledge of the staff, the drink selection,... More

I booked Carters having wanted to come here for ages for my Mum's birthday treat. It was delicious from start to finish. We had the 8 course taster menu and nyetimber to start followed by an incredible white wine "keep on punching" we all really enjoyed it. Will be definitely recommending it! Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming which is... More

We went for lunch on my birthday in December. We had the tasting menu with wine flight and we were in for such a treat. The food was outstanding, the wine delicious and a helpful and knowledgeable sommelier too! The service was excellent. attentive and friendly but not overbearing. Its quite a small place in an unusual setting, but I... More

The restaurant offers an excellent taster menu with wine pairing. The service is excellent with the staff explaining each dish and it's heritage in detail. Much of the food is locally sourced which makes the experience feel more special. Obviously the price point is high but worth it for a special occasion.

Went for our friends birthday plus their engagement. From greeting to goodbye, it was sublime. The food is imaginative and expertly cooked by Brad and the team, and the tastes are exquisite. The service from Holly and the front of house team is second to none, and appears to be effortless, but is the result of a hardworking happy team.... More

We visited Carters of Mosley for a birthday treat and from the moment we walked through the door this restaurant and the staff were very accommodating. We had the 6 course tasting menus - 1 of which was vegetarian - the knowledgeable and attentive staff walked us through every course. The food was beautifully presented with imaginative flavour profiles and... More

it was an excellent lunchtime meal - we had the full set of courses. There were 6 things I had never eaten such as - sea buckthorn, black queenie, cornish kombu...It was very special - all the courses were delicious and finished with a spectacular coffee ceremony. Memorable, relaxed, excellent staff but not in your face.

This is a very friendly relaxed fine dining restaurant. We loved the simplicity of the tables and easy going but efficient service. Our food was interesting but disappointingly sparing course by course. Fish and duck melted in the mouth and obviously cooked perfectly. The taster menu offered flavours we'd not experienced before that were both amazing but also at times... More
