We loved the food! Great venue done out lovely, Could have had a better selection of bottled beers and the service could have been a little more attentive, would go again though.

Went for a late afternoon early evening Saturday dinner. A lovely cozy restaurant surrounded by Caroline Shotton Moo Cow paintings. A nice atmosphere, and started with some great cocktails. Good choice of steaks, a size for all appetites and a nice fish selection. Attentive service...More

This is a place that specialises in steak, with a bit of surf and turf. I dont eat meat, so it’s not really my sort of place. But the friends I was with seemed to like what they had. The veggie alternatives were limited, and...More

Visited last Saturday evening after enjoying a meal here sometime ago and were not disappointed. We had a dozen oysters to start which were beautiful followed by 2 T-Bone steaks and sea trout. Would definitely recommend!

First time dining here and i will say a very professional yet relaxed approach from the staff, very impressed with the service and the quality of food, a nice surprise from the staff receiving a dessert as i was celebrating my birthday also! The food...More

Having been once or twice I always return for the steak and they never fail to impress. I wouldn’t say you get the queens quality but it’s a cut above the rest. The food, staff, atmosphere, it all gives you that aspect of being singled...More

Visited early doors and was made most welcome in rather comfy surroundings and opted for a surf and turf option. Two thirds rather good but the steak was disappointing and a bit chewy for me. Staff were most pleasant and service very good. Overall a...More

If you sell yourself as a steakhouse then your steak really ought to be good. We shared a porterhouse that was unfortunately unevenly cooked. We asked for medium. It was rare in parts and well done in others. It was also quite tough and had...More

It’s a ‘smart casual’ type of place, but I’m sure jeans are fine. There was a mix of how people were dressed. Enjoy your meal. Can’t wait to go back!

Description
Situated on St Pauls Church square, Andersons Bar and Grill is found in the interesting surroundings of former 18th century cellars. However this restaurant is as far from a dingy basement bar as it is possible to be lush, sophisticated dcor brings light and space to the brick arched room, changing displays of art is displayed on the walls and theres a definite buzz to the atmosphere. With a dedication to providing great value food in a relaxed setting along with top quality service, Andersons Bar and Grill is already making its mark on the local dining scene. The food, sourced locally is of course hearty grill fayre but presented with a touch of class so even old favourites such as Barnsley chop or grilled plaice are actually rather special.
