Slightly underwhelmed by this place. After all the hype and recommendations, the food didn’t live up to our expectations. My wife and I both had steaks from the menu, not the speciality ones. They came out in 5 minutes of ordering which I found strange...More

Group of 10 booked for a Saturday night. Arrived and welcomed at the bar before being led to our table. Great atmosphere, laid back. Food was excellent, service good, brilliant night, can’t wait to go again.

Oustanding service combined with good food. The menu was excellent and worth the price. I had a later reservation but was accommodated earlier without hesitation on a busy Saturday. I will visit again

It’s a ‘smart casual’ type of place, but I’m sure jeans are fine. There was a mix of how people were dressed. Enjoy your meal. Can’t wait to go back!

Situated on St Pauls Church square, Andersons Bar and Grill is found in the interesting surroundings of former 18th century cellars. However this restaurant is as far from a dingy basement bar as it is possible to be lush, sophisticated dcor brings light and space to the brick arched room, changing displays of art is displayed on the walls and theres a definite buzz to the atmosphere. With a dedication to providing great value food in a relaxed setting along with top quality service, Andersons Bar and Grill is already making its mark on the local dining scene. The food, sourced locally is of course hearty grill fayre but presented with a touch of class so even old favourites such as Barnsley chop or grilled plaice are actually rather special.
