I believe that “Kutum Bari” roughly translate to *relatives home*. The staff here do treat you like family, but unfortunately none of my relatives can cook this well!
We attended today, a party of 20 of us, celebrating 4 birthdays simultaneously. The Sunday Buffet meant there was no delay, and we all ate together. Service throughout was fantastic and at £11 per head for starters, mains, deserts of excellent variety and quality represents amazing value!

Really can’t praise this venue enough for the quality of food and service you receive.
The food is excellent in both quality and value, the staff are also excellent and very attentive and are willing to offer advice on what dish would meet your personal tastes.
Again certainly 5 stars from me.

I came here with a friend for an impromptu curry and I was not disappointed.
We had a great meal served with poppadoms and pickles, a sharing platter to start, a main that came out on a hot skillet, and a complimentary ice cream dessert.
The menu had all the classic dishes on it, together with some chefs specials.
The restaurant was full of people enjoying great food and we had a great evening too.

Went last night and ordered Shamee kebab starter & chicken balti. Woke up this morning which horrendous stomach pain & been on the toilet for 30 mins. The food actually tasted okay, shame its ripping my stomach & a*se apart.
Also asked for our starters to come with mains. Only my starter come with my main so i had to watch the others eat their starter before i could eat mine.
Shamme kebab was awful, bland with next to no spice

Went there on a Saturday evening at 6:30pm. Not sure what has happened to the service post Covid lockdowns but this has been the worst I've experienced in a while. It wasn't even busy at that time. Got overcharged too with the meal deal, not worth the money, would have worked out cheaper ordering the starter, main and side seperately. We did request not to have the meal deal but it still got added to the bill. Just wanted to pay and leave by the end. Drinks were served very slowly, some people had nearly finished theirs by the time we had the final one brought over and we had to request where the rest were. There was only 7 of us! They have tried to add cocktails to menu because of a rival restaurant up the road, they don't know how to make a long island iced tea that's for sure. It was just a bacardi and flat coke. The coke and diet cokes were both flat. Had to wait an age for the bill and for plates to be cleared also. Just an overall bad night, used to go there all the time. Won't return again now.

last night we tried to place an online order for collection for the family buffet deal plus some children’s mains. The mains should have had an offer of 50% off if you collected which we was more than happy to do but the website wasn’t issuing the discount for the mains so I tried calling them to see if we could place the order and was passed to 3 different people before the manager came on when I tried to explain the issue he was Rude argumentative and telling me he is not discussing an online order over the phone. Bearing in mind we was placing an order which would have been easily over £80.
I will never give these people my custom ever again what an absolute disgrace they are.
Definitely wouldn’t order from them again and I definitely will not set foot in their restaurant.

Came to birmingham on a business trip and was staying in holiday inn express nearby Birmingham Airport with 2 of my work collegue. Yesterday evening I & my other two business trip companions coming back from Business meeting to hotel and asked the taxi driver to recommend us a good indian dining around here and he actually recommended us 3 restaurant that are nearby the place we are staying. Considering all three option by vusiting their individual website and menue, we asked the driver to drop us off at Kutum bari. It was arpund 5.30pm and the restaurant was alomost full, however the loveley and welcoming staff managed to give us a table for 3. The restaurant manager Jay himself took our order & we went for the £14.99 deal for weekend includes starter, main dish and rice/ Nan bread. The meal was trueley delicious and we was surprised even on a busy evening, end of our meal they provided us complimentary pudding, and coffe !! It wasnt all end in there !! While we asked for the bill, the waiter was polite enough to ask us whether we would like any complimentary shots of bailys or any other liquor!!! My colleagues couldnt say no to that offer and we was feeling absoluteley pampered by the excelent hospitality of Kutum Bari. Thank you Mr Jay & ypur wonderful team.

Organised a meal here for around 16 of us for my Dad's 70th Birthday, we were looked after so well by all at the restaurant but especially Zak who was our waiter in our own private area. He attended to everyone's needs and was a credit to the restaurant with the service he provided. Food was delicious too!!

Group of 11 booked was made so welcome from start to finish of evening and nothing was too much trouble. Had a few in the group who wasn’t sure of what food they wanted so the food was made to suit them, food was superb and drinks went down well, all for a very good price. Will be going back very soon and will be booking here again for future events. Looking forward to the next visit.

Going to Kutum Bari was the best decision we made, from start to finish the service was attentive and the meal was 2nd to none. Went with my husband, Son and 8 Yr Grandson whom I hasten to add told the waiter that it was the best meal he had ever had ( High praise indeed). We will be back. Our favorite Curry house. Chicken Dhansak was cooked how I asked for it and believe me no many restaurants take notice. Amazing modern and relaxed place to eat.

From the popadoms to your dessert is simply wow. The service is second to none. The restaurant is beautiful and most importantly it's fine dine without the hefty price tag. Highly recommend these guys.

Went for a family meal. As the Resturant had good reviews.
Found the food I ordered to be very bland. Had onion Barji starter. No spice and hardly any taste only batter and onions. Could not finish this. Ordered chicken Doupiaza for the main and it was swimming in so much gee. Almost filled a compliment container with the spooned off Gee. Very unappetizing. So another dish I could not finish.
My husband had the steak which he enjoyed and my Daughter had the chicken kormer which she enjoyed so unfortunately it was just my meal that disappointed.
I don't be going back again as I found the food lacking in taste and the amount gee used quite excessive.
So unfortunately I can't recommend this Resturant. On the plus side it was busy and people seemed to be enjoying their food had plenty of regular customers.

Small bistro, excellent food and service, pleasantly surprised by the live music, set the evening off & added to the meal, attentive staff and management. Attention to to detail in a warm wet wipe, fruit, sweets and pudding, helping to Cleanse the palate. Nice to see a restauranteur invest in the local community and supporting local artists.

The wife took me for a meal for my birthday 10/09/21.
On arrival we were shown to our table very quickly, we were given 5 mins to settle before they came over, took our drink order, and asked if we wanted popadoms, they came with our drinks inside of 2 minutes. Left us alone to eat then came for our order, they took our starter and main order at the same time. The starter arrived and wow!! It was gorgeous.
They waited 10 mins to clear our plates, for me the perfect time, 10 mins later out comes our food, sizzling in the bowls, red hot. The staff were attentive but not in your face, the Cuban waitress was brilliant, she spoke with us an other couples, about Cuba (we had both visited her country) such a lovely lady. All in all the whole experience was fantastic. And the food was faultless, would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

I have been wanting to eat here here a while as it's somewhere my mom goes each week.
We went there for the Sunday buffet with family members. The website price was £10.95 for adult and £8.95 for a child but when you get there it is £12.95 per adult and £9.99 for a child. I was told this was because of cost of living which is fine as everything has increased but they need to update the website.
I went to pay for me and my 11 year old daughter, so 1 adult and 1 child but was told that my daughter was classed as an adult as she was over 8. After paying I checked on the board outside and it says a child was 12 and under so this was not true. My daughter only had nuggets rice and chips and only 1 serving so wasnt as if she went up over and over.
My nephew and his girlfriend put any leftovers on to one plate when finished so it was easier to clear away and the waiter mentioned there would be a charge of £5 if they had leftovers.
The food was okay the barjis and pakoras were a bit doughy. My mom mentioned that the buffet is not as good as if you order a takeaway or order a proper meal.
Don't think I will be returning which is a shame.
