...... a very good, friendly restaurant that is reasonably priced. We go fairly regularly and have never been disappointed. It may be slightly off the beaten track, at the bottom of Smith St, but well worth a try. Service is great - with a Northern...More

I've eaten at this little unassuming restaurant on several occasions now and keep going back so it must be good as I'm very fussy when it comes to eating out. There's always a cheerful welcome on entry and you are made to feel at home....More

Having been brushed aside by another local restaurant (will post about them separately) we sought another local eatery and, based on reviews, chose Robbie's. We are now very pleased that we did. Robbie's has very few tables, and with another birthday groups of 6/7, a...More

After years of living in Warwick and not making it down here I wish we had done it earlier. We've been 4 times now, evening dinners as a couple, out with fussy family, old friends and a Sunday lunch. They have never let us down,...More

6 of us went for Sunday lunch and had a fantastic meal, the pork and black pudding starter was so good and the blade of beef melted in the mouth. We enjoyed it so much that we booked again before we left.

Description
"More like a dinner party than a formal restaurant, Robbie's is friendly eaterie with chatty staff, an upbeat atmosphere, and a modern British menu. Whats cooking: Starters include beetroot, spinach and humous pate, and lentil, watercress and tomato fritters with spicy aubergine dip. Mains are deliriously good: pan-seared duck breast with cherry and kumquat compote with honey and brandy sauce is divine, as is the grilled golden trout stuffed with smoked salmon and toasted almonds with chilli and corinader cream. Do not miss the homemade ice cream. Menu changes monthly."
