Popped in for a quick drink whilst out on a walk, lots of outdoor seating just off the old tramway funnily enough. Lots of parking and a warm welcome.

Dropped in for an impromptu lunch. As it was sunny, sat outside in their good beer garden. Good food, could have used another dipping sauce. Good beer and dog friendly

This pub has the potential for a great atmosphere but hasn't got it. Only one real ale on tap and that wasn't so good. The staff were great but the pub itself is missing something. Sorry but I just can't put my finger on it....More

Lovely afternoon spent at this great pub close to the river and with a great garden for kids. Katie the manager was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome.

Nice staff, good beer, but the food was terrible. Guacamole all over the starter, straight from a bottle, and not the best either. Deep fried halloumi where the batter tasted of fish (obviously the same fryer being used), a chilli with almost no meat (with...More

Visiting Stratford and catching up with old friends, the Tramway were very helpful in setting up our large table booking and had our pre-ordered meals ready to go once everyone had arrived. Whilst the meals were nothing to write home about - they provided great...More

Good evening Clifford, I don't think they do but the swan and the Alveston Manor do. There are two premier inns too. Book early as it's expensive. Regards, Ken

Description
One of the very few remaining truly traditional pubs left in Stratford. The Old Tramway is only five minutes walk from the centre of town down the original old tramway track running through the park with views of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The pub serves traditional British cuisine with open fires in the winter and a large secluded garden with al fresco dining for the summer with ample parking. If you want to experience British pubs as they should be, then The Old Tramway fits the bill. With efficient friendly service and excellent home cooked food, you will feel like one of our locals almost immediately.
