Hobsons is extremely well located in the heart of the Town (next to Whitestuff - relevant as my wife can be in changing room for 20 minutes just enough time for me to grab a coffee and cake at Hobson's 😃). Seriously, Hobson's has an...More

Cold Sunday afternoon, the place was busy but atmosphere dim and dreary, not homely or comfortable at all. The waitress was not really helpful, curt almost. I ordered strawberry and rhubarb crumble, expecting a warm tasty pudding But got a cold, dry, cakelike substance with...More

This is a very quaint cafe, food was delicious and you get a decent portion for not to much money. Staff very welcoming. It is set over two floors but we stayed down stairs. It was busy but didn't feel cramped. Would definitely go again.

As others have mentioned, it is a packed space. We did see folks using a wheelchair come in and they made room at one of the front tables. It would be too much to have him go back to order though.

Some sandwiches and quiches are suitable for vegetarians. I'm not sure with the cake though. Cakes and sandwiches are big enough to be shared
