First time visiting for cocktails - didn't realise it was there! Decor is to die for and very smart - felt very welcomed by the staff. Didn't rush us to order and advised which cocktails were nice - weren't disappointed with the cocktails we received! Food menu looked very nice too. Will 100% be back!

We ordered a steak ciabatta and cheese omelette for lunch in beautiful surroundings. I asked if the ciabatta was toasted and was told it was at which I asked for it to be well done. When the food came the ciabatta was not toasted at all but the toast that came with my wife's omelette was very well done. The... More

We were going to the matinee at the Theatre Royal and found this place by chance. My partner had very good mussels and I have a chocolate nemesis (a brownie but gluten free). The texture of the dessert was very soft and moist - almost to the point of seeming 'uncooked' but the chocolate taste and raspberry sorbet were good.... More

I will start firstly with how beautiful the food was, especially the mussels in thai sauce. My husband got the mussels in Chilli sauce. For the main meal I got the sausage and mash (my favourite meal anywhere) and Barluga did not let me down with this. Now onto the negatives. Because the tables were quite close together, my husband... More

Our first visit to Barluga for a meal and I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive but ended up being really impressed. We were promptly shown to our table, overlooking the busy bar area, which we had pre-booked. Service was quick, efficient, helpful and friendly. The restaurant area clean and tidy. The food we had was truly excellent,... More

Sitting by the window yesterday and eating splendid mussels, classic, but having to keep fleece on did detract from the experience. A pre theatre lunch was well worth the price and the chocolate brownie seemed to be enjoyed as well. A very convivial environment in which to share a brief repas.

We booked a table for lunchtime on a Saturday, we were going to the theatre. The restaurant was quite quiet. We were shown to our seats and were offered a jug of water while we decided on drinks and food. The waitress was very friendly and recommended which cocktails to buy. She updated us on what was available on the... More
