We visited The Brandling Villa after a sunny walk in Jesmond Dene with our pooch. We arrived just after midday on a Sunday expecting it to be busy. Our dog was well looked after with a bowl of water and we even treated him to a doggy Sunday dinner. This portion was enormous for our small dog and we ended... More

Went here when we were visiting family in Newcastle. The Brandling Villa is in south Gosforth. We all ordered burgers and weren't disappointed. Think mine was called a beef chegwin. (They all have funny names!) The food came quickly too, only a short wait for our tums! It was all delicious. All the members of our party had burgers which... More

Absolutely packed and we struggled to get a table. Dogs everywhere too so our two were right at home. Had loaded chili fries which were fantastic and the chicken tacos which were ok. Dogs had a chicken dinner from the dog menu Really nice staff too the tables are all named after dogs.. Unfortunately they do let kids in too... More

You might walk in here and think it was going to be a bit hipster and cliquey, but it isn't. It does attract a fair number of punters with large beards and low slung skinny jeans, but there's room for everyone and lots and lots of interesting beers to quaff. They have live music and stuff on some nights although... More

I've been coming to this pub for a year now as it's my local. I absolutely LOVED it, but after the few recent times I've visited in the new year, SO much has changed. They've taken away a lot of the good menu options. They now only offer Burgers / pies or light eats. My ultimate favourite sandwich was the... More

Recommended by friend to visit as very dog friendly. Staying close by visiting family. Was not impressive from the outside, but inside greeted by friendly staff & able to sit where we wanted. Lunch menu was varied & offered menu for dogs. Meal arrived & unfortunately I had to send it back as the pie was not cooked underneath. The... More

Still a favorite place of ours to visit. The drinks on offer are as great as ever and a great atmosphere on a busy night, but with regards to food i think it has become a victim of its own success and the past couple of times my partner and i have left disappointed. It used to be the best... More

This is not a flash pub, it's just a pub and what a pub. The ale is first class, so many I was spoiled for choice. Also includes some local breweries, a must visit if you like to sample some different ales. Also the food - it's amazing. My son had the nachos which were a meal in it's self,... More
