Here on business so all alone. Really nice clean place, efficient service and very good food! It's easy to find and in a fantastic location full of amazing architecture. But the main thing is the food. Mussels to start followed by chicken Madras with pilau rice and a keema naan. 660ml cobra too. I hope heaven is like this.

First time visitor to Newcastle, walked in off the street. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. However, give the tandoori lamb a miss. For starters, it was not lamb, the slices were too thin and it was certainly overcooked and chewy, which makes me think it was mutton. The plate servings were small as well for the price being charged.... More

Great restaurant, excellent food, fantastic location, prices are extremely good value and staff tremendously attentive. I'm a regular businessman to Newcastle and I will definitely be coming back to eat here.

3 of us had a meal here (one veggie) and we were all really pleased with whst we had! Pleasant and attentive staff and quick service although it was a Tuesday evening and quite quiet. The food was very reasonablely priced.

We go here on a weekly basis and the food and staff are really lovely and genuine. We have had food away from the menu - but (like tonight) we went back to the menu and were delighted as always. Thanks Farina and the Rani staff for your hospitality :)

I often go here for a curry when up in Newcastle, the food here is great, but as someone who dines alone when on business, the service could be a bit faster and would be better not to be left waiting so long.

The food very tasty and very close to the traditional indian cuisine. The prices are very reasonable, and the amount of food is very satisfing. I have tried every curry in the menu and I loved every single one. The service is very friendly but a bit slow. It is the restaurant I would go every week.
