We visited the keel row early evening, 5.30, the pub was fairly quiet at this time, but the atmosphere was relaxed an comfortable. There were 7 of us to eat, the menu was quite varied to suit most people, and the prices were reasonable.we had a range of starters and mains, which everyone enjoyed, ( one criticism was the tai curry very... On a two day visit to Newcastle and found the Keel Row via trip advisor. As most other reviews, can only agree fantastic food served on a skillet at a great price. Best mixed grill I have had and that's been a few..

It took us a few attempts to book into the Keelrow because of its popularity. A really easily accessed pub with some lovely real ales on draft and generally some lovely inexpensive food. Our party had a number of varying meals all of which looked delicious and were reported to be exactly that. I felt that I had made the... More

First time at the Keel Row, our initial mistake was not realising how big it was. We sat in the children's area, not knowing about the dining room. Decided not to move as one of the party was in a wheelchair and had sat down. Large varied menu, meals arrived quite quickly. All different but all well presented, hot and... More

This was an early evening dinner with my wife, daughter and my grandson. I had not booked but a table was available. There was a private party ongoing when we arrived. Nevertheless we were shown to our table. The food we ordered was excellent and the portions very generous. The music from the party was not too bad and we... More

We went for a last minute Sunday evening meal in January, having meant to try the place for ages. First impressions - it was very large and quiet, given the time/ day. We were given a lovely warm welcome and served nice beer. The menu is quite large so there was plenty to choose from. Starters were typically under a... More

Steak on a stone has to be worth a try. Your steak comes raw and you cook it on a very very hot piece of stone to exactly how you like it. You are provided with oil to use and its a really good piece of fillet steak. Sharon will even provide you with a splatter bib if you need... More
