Popular, and rightly so. I ate takeaway from here two evenings out of 4. Good portion size and good value. Be careful if you eat on the beach... The birds will dive bomb to snatch the fish from your hand! Therefore, there's a fine for...More

Arrived at Aldeburgh in time for lunch, so straight after parking up in the High Street, we rushed over the fish and chip shop for lunch. We had a large portion of chips and some scampi. After putting on salt and vinegar, we walked down...More

It must be close to 25 years since we last visited Aldeburgh. The chippy is still here and the queues too. It wasn't too bad on a Friday evening. Even with the people in front ordering 9 cod, the cooks were ensuring there was a...More

The chips have a very distinctive and agreeable taste, so I'm guessing they are cooked in dripping. Fish was pretty good too. It's almost obligatory to eat on the beach, to get the full experience!

Lovely fresh fish and chips. Be prepared to queue, but well worth it ! The only fish not on offer the night we went was skate. We had a takeaway, yummy!

Always a queue but wait is not bad and worth it! We had delicious take away fish and chips and mushy peas. Generous portions as well.

We went midweek at lunchtime. The place was busy and we had to queue but our fish was freshly cooked. It was decent fish and chips and very pleasant to eat al fresco on Aldeburgh beach. However if I had blind tasted I would not...More

It’s a long trip from East Herts then we join the queue for the fish and chips but it’s all worth it.
