Celebrated my wife's birthday here, friendly staff, not overcrowded tables and the food was amazing, one of the best curries we have had. We shall return when visiting Cheddar.

I was staying in Cheddar and decided to eat at Rasoi after it was recommended to me. The restaurant layout is spacey and very clean. The staff were all superb and very friendly. Then there's the food - just 1st class for such a regional...Indian restaurant. Good size portions and very tasty. Even better, this is a bring-your-own establishment, the is a bar downstairs to buy a pint or take your own wine & beer - no corkage charge & they provided glasses & bottle opener. Not to be missed if you fancy an Indian meal whilst in or near Cheddar.More
Had a chicken karma, husband had lamb biryani. Both were lovely, just a bit too much. Thank you so much. Keep up the gorgeous food.
Arrived as a pre booked party of 23. Food was amazing, service was fantastic. Very helpful staff. Lovely clean and relaxed atmosphere. Very happy to 100% recommend
Great Vegan options, attentive staff, tasty food. Each curry had it's own flavour. Quite hot dishes. Alcohol free lagers available
Good food and nice atmosphere. Service was quick with friendly and helpful staff. Selection of vegetarian food was excellent with plenty of choice.
Lovely welcome from the waiter who showed us to our table. After looking at the drinks menu we discovered the restaurant does not have an alcohol licence, much to my husbands disappointment. However we did notice other customers brought their own alcoholic drinks with them....Great tasting food, the whole family really enjoyed the meal. Naan bread was small so everyone needed their own as not enough to share. My only negative was we couldn’t get the waiters attention for the bill. After waiting for a very long time we made our way to the bar to pay.More
Dear Michelle, Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are a BYO restaurant, so you can bring your own alcoholic drinks in (No corkage charge). There is also a bar downstairs where you can buy drinks and bring up, maybe you wasn’t...More
We visited for a family meal to celebrate my sons 17th. Lovely food and they couldn't have been more helpful. Including letting us bring our own chocolate pizza (aka cake) lighting the candles and starting the singing!
Delicious food and very friendly staff, as always. We visit regularly and also get takeaways from Rasoi, and it is always great. Thank you
We try to eat here at least once, every time we stay in Cheddar. For us its one of the best restaurants we know that serves Indian/Bangladeshi food. can't wait until our next visit in September!! Special thanks to Raymond (sorry if the spelling if...its incorrect) for his great service. see you all soon.More
My wife and were staying for a week's holiday in Cheddar- tried this place and was pleased with the meal. Very tasty and good value for money.
Fantastic Indian with friendly staff We enjoyed an Indian meal at this restaurant whilst staying nearby on holiday. The food was fantastic, really recommend the Raja chicken. The waiter was great and we had a lovely chat at the end of our meal and he...took a lot of interest in our holiday plans. Would recommend !More
My wife and I visited Rasoi whilst on holiday in north Somerset in the last week of August. We were both delighted with the meal. I chose a vegetable samosa followed by the Goan King Prawn, which was delicious. My wife chose the onion bhajees...and lamb shatkora. I was quite happy to drink non-alcoholic beer but you were able to bring your own or purchase from the bar downstairs. Excellent service, nice surroundings, just good all-round.More
Last minute decision to eat out for the family and kids wanted a curry. Rasoi didn’t disappoint and (in my humble opinion) is the best and most consistent Indian restaurant in the area. Great food served by friendly team at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend
You get a great view from its first floor location and the decor inside is smart, well lit and well spaced dining Staff were friendly and attentive enough, although we found it amusing that they didn’t seem to want to collect one the popadom condiments...- very bizarre Food wise, it started off promising Was so delighted to see none of the aforementioned condiments contained the dreaded coriander herb Been a while since I’ve been able to fully enjoy all options from the condiment range Sadly, I forgot to tell them, no coriander on my dishes - but was good to see they used it as a garnish as opposed to liberal use of it throughout the meals The curries themselves were ok, but sadly seemed to lack any bite or punch to make me think, this was an awesome curry Not sure if they softened the heat to accommodate the western palate, but it simply failed to light up my tastebuds Overall, I would still recommend the place tho and a tip would be to BYO or grab beer/wine from the bar downstairs as they don’t appear to have an alcohol licenceMore
