We were blessed with the Christmas gift of a generous restaurant voucher and waited until a beautiful Spring Saturday to use it. First things first; the staff are delightful and the greeting and service is, as expected, first class. We enjoyed a drink on the terrace in welcome sunshine with just bird song, rather than traffic noise. My teeny tiny... More

I have always lived in bath, and the bath priory has been on the list of places to eat, finally we made it.... I must say I was very impressed with every aspect, from walking the hotel has a very warm welcoming feel. You then go to the lounge for a drink and to choose your food etc, again it's... More

A beautiful hotel with a superb garden and lounges. The staff are lovely and make you feel welcome and the centre of attention. The service is 5 star and the food awesome. We had a birthday lunch here which was a faultless example of service and great food. Could not recommend anywhere better in Bath. Stroll through Victoria park and... More

A surprising dining experience after a hard days work. The boss arrived, said, Be my guest" and we were happy to accommodate. Very comfortable chairs, dining cloths, heavy napkins, all taupe and elegante. Fresh everything, imaginative presentations, wonderful pairings of flavors. The mackerel was incredible light and bright. Loved the roasted scallops. Cheese course and coffee with petit fours well... More

If you take over as a head of a school that recently got an Outstanding Ofsted rating you spend the next couple of years panicking that the next inspection won't sustain the rating. The worst you can do is to try to dress things up because the inspector will always see through the theatre. Here the new executive chef seems... More

My family often stay here when in the area, and suggested we went for afternoon tea. It is certainly a beautiful building and well worth taking the taxi ride out of town to visit. We sat in picture lined comfort and enjoyed lovely offerings in sensible sizes. I was a bit mistified by the huge quantity of tea leaves in... More

On 12th Dec’16 we made a reservation by phone for lunch at 13:15 on the following day (our 36th wedding anniversary) at The Priory. Complimentary canapes and drinks were on offer if we could be at the Priory by 12:45. On arrival at this earlier time, our booking was not found on the computer, and the restaurant was full. We... Ate at the Bath Priory restaurant 3 times over the course of a stay at the Bath Priory Hotel. Dishes were varied and delicious. The pollock was amazing and I am not really a fish lover. Desserts were a highlight, in particular the salted caramel fondant and the apple soufflé. Matching wines were well paired. Service was very attentive. The... More

Description
The Bath Priory restaurant in Bath has held a Michelin star since October 2012. Found within the Bath Priory Hotel, a Georgian mansion of honey-coloured stone, it’s a great place when you want sophisticated food in an elegant setting. Executive Chef Sam Moody, creates stellar dishes with a strong emphasis on kitchen garden ingredients with an inventive use of traditional herbs and flowers. Where possible, all meat is locally sourced and the menu sticks closely to what’s in season. "
