We visited Bath for my partner's birthday and decided to try this Nepalese restaurant because it seemed a bit different. The restaurant is at basement (or garden flat level) in central Bath . There are steep steps down to it. It is family run and...More

I live in Bath and this is one of my favourite restaurants. My favourite dishes include the Lamb Tamar which is a spiced dish with bamboo shoots, black-eye peas and potato and the Pork Momos. The amount of heat (chilli) can be adjusted for all...More

Booked this restaurant for an anniversary dinner. Very disappointed with the very poor service on this Sunday evening. Took 25 minutes to get drinks and 40 minutes for 1st course. I had salmon for starters and this was served burnt, which the waiter insisted was...More

Lovely authentic Nepalese food that is cheap and cheerful and delicious. Would recommend this place without hesitation.

We ate here 7 years ago so it's taken us a while to return and it was as good as the first time. Delicious food, flavoursome, well presented, good value. We'll be back..Hopefully sooner than 7 years time!

We went here on a whim. The place appears very small, but is pretty spread out. However, it is in close quarters, and there is not a lot of room to move. The menu is like a Spanish tapas place. Small plates and sharing. The...More

I used to live in Nepal and have amazing fond memories of the country and its food but have had to content myself with memories as authentic, quality Nepalese food is near impossible to find in this country. No more! This place was a revelation....More

My first experience of Nepalese food was way back when I went trekking in Nepal in 1989 and it was truly bland and unimaginative! After nearly 28 years we visited Yak Yeti Yak in Bath this July. I was blown over. Being the only non-vegetarian...More

This was our first try of Nepalese cuisine. The restaurant was quirky but comfortable. Its not uptight or pretentious. It was very busy considering it was a Monday and the vast majority of customers appeared to be international tourists. The menu has some thing for...More

I had never tried Nepalese before, so I was very excited. Yak Yeti Yak certainly didn't disappoint. The food was very tasty and staff were helpful. The prices were very affordable too!

Description
If the name of this restaurant alone isn't enough to make you want to dine here, then we'll eat our Dhaka topi hats. However, in case you need any further incentive – we're delighted to say that this super-cosy establishment is superb. With whitewashed walls and brightly coloured hand-woven cushions, the Nepalese dining room at Yak Yeti Yak in Bath is warm, peaceful, and popular with a fresh-faced crowd who look like they climb mountains just for fun. While - as far as we can tell - there is no actual yeti on the menu, there are plenty of other star attractions such as the Yak Yeti Yak Beef – spicy beef stir-fried with onions, sweet peppers and tomatoes.
