We booked this nearly 10 months ago so we could visit the Christmas markets. What we hadn't realised is that this clashed with the Saracens rugby also being on so the whole town was heaving. Consequently parking was a nightmare and the hotel kindly made other arrangements for us which was really kind of them. Our rooms were spotlessly clean... More

We stayed recently for 2 nights b&b. Arrived ( in a torrential downpour!) prior to check in time, but our room was ready and we were made to feel very welcome. Comfy warm room. Quiet street and a couple of minutes to Pultney bridge - what a great location! A really good cooked breakfast each morning . Norman ,our host,... More

On arrival, we weren't welcomed in a friendly manner and didn't seem as if they wished to interact with us. We weren't told any information about the B&B just given the keys and permit for the car. We had planned our whole day around the restaurant providing food from 6-9. Having gone down to place and order for food we... More

Thank you for comments and we are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. We would like to take this opportunity to respond: thank you for bringing to our attention the loose toilet seat and bedside light not working, both of these have now been fixed. Apologies for the dirty towel in the shower- a complete oversight by... More

From the time we arrived to the time we left, we were looked after really well. We arrived early and had booked 5 of the 6 rooms available. We were allowed to drop off our luggage as room check in was not until 2pm. We had dinner on the Saturday night and a roast dinner on the Sunday afternoon. The... More

On our way back to the hotel we remembered our last visit here and decided to stop off for a drink, unfortunately the main bar was booked for a function so anyone else was in the smaller bar. We still got served well and managed a seat.It is what it is.

Just dropped in for a last drink one evening before going back to our hotel. Would have liked to have come for a pub lunch, but ran out of time

These guys get pub/hotel accommodation. Bits need doing but nothing important. They get service. They get individual style. They don't do fake poncy. I want to come back in 12 months and see what they have done. Would I come back next week ? In a heart beat.

Booked for a night in the family room in this lovely pub (with our teenagers) - great location, clean, friendly - a lovely atmosphere. Relaxing place to have a drink in the evening and a tasty breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

I have visited Bath on many occasions but always walked past the Rising Sun ... how wrong was that. I went there for a Sunday Roast & it was fantastic. ( worth booking it ) I think I could say that it was the best Sunday Roast that I have had for a very long time. The meat was beautiful... More

Right across the bridge and around the corner from the city center, a three minute walk from Bath Abbey, yet on a quiet street, there couldn't be a better location. Its a traditional pub that has recently undergone a stylish renovation with fresh, tastefully decorated rooms. A mini-fridge in the hallway holds fresh milk for tea in your room. An... More
