Booked a table based on reviews , as staying nearby. Friendly pub, nice logburner on a cold evening. Attentive service and good food at reasonable prices. Was a bit noisy but no an issue.

After overpaying for mediocre food in Bath central, this pub was a breath of fresh air. Casual and friendly yet great food. Try the broccoli side (delicious), the chips were crispy, the smoked salmon on bread with just the right dressing and toppings, the strip loin, the onion soup. Happy family, kids all loved it. And good beer selection incl... More

We were there with 30 others for a wedding anniversary celebration and had the upstairs room to ourselves. The menu had a good selection of meal choices all at very reasonable prices. My salmon with spinach and capers was delicious. The fish was delicate and the freshest I had had for a long time. The sharpness of the capers balanced... More

Fantastic food, great service. We had a room upstairs to celebrate completing the walk and my birthday. Wow, what a find. Will return when we are in the town again!

After driving round the city centre looking for parking we eventually saw this pub. Quite small inside but lovely staff so we decided to eat there. I had the rump of lamb and it was perfectly cooked so i would recommend it. Definitely worth finding this pub again on my next visit.

Visited this pub with family when they visited over a year ago, and was so pleased to see on returning that a lot of work has gone in to redecorating it. It's such a nice local pub, with very friendly service. I really enjoyed the mushroom and spinach truffle pie I had here last time, but actually the food is... More

I'm lucky enough to say that this is my local pub. Along with eclectic mix of regulars :) the pub gets busy with various local groups and visitors looking for a proper English pub that also happens to serve delicious, locally sourced food. Service is friendly and efficient and the choice at the bar is (refreshingly) a little different. The... More
