Just outside Bath this pub has a friendly atmosphere and delicious food. A set menu and a la carte. A lot of unusual choices. We shared a scallops and chorizo starter and we both had the crab, seaweed and bream risotto. Ate it all!

Excellent ambiance, very good wine, brilliant food, the beef was nicely pink and plates were generously filled with well cooked traditional vegetables and great roast potatoes

The Wheatsheaf is situated in large terraced gardens overlooking the village of Combe Hay in idyllic countryside just 10 minutes drive from the centre of Bath. The Wheatsheaf is a haven of contemporary rustic chic, preserving the best of the past and enhancing the present. Polite Dogs are welcome at The Wheatsheaf Combe Hay, Margaux and Gloria our Cocker Spaniels and Brie our Springer Spaniel all live at The Wheatsheaf.
