I had brunch at the Riverside cafe twice during a short stay in Bath this September. The weather was warm and sunny the first time so we sat by the door and looked out at the bridge and the weir. We both enjoyed eggs benedict - I had the sourdough bread (would recommend). We visited the cafe again for brunch... More

Good view of the waterfall but that's about it. Loud shapeless music blaring out. No card machine. People looked in then went elsewhere. We wished we had!

A pity that the cafe closed before Christmas but it has reopened under new management. Main courses are £10 but you can select small courses from £5. If you don't want to eat a lot and want a great view of the Pulteney Bridge and weir then this is the place to be. Not great for disabled access but you... More

It says the restaurant has closed, but it was open when we recently visited in April 2016. Excellent service, the only serve drinks on a Monday until 11am due to cleaning, but were more than happy to offer to cook us a full English for us, we popped to get some cash, and they had a table ready and waiting... We visited on the fourth day after re-opening with the new proprietors from Salisbury trying different menus as they find their feet and their audience. Three small plates for £12 hit the spot - scotch eggs really are a "must try" and smoked salmon on rye crackers light and refreshing. My partner chose the twice baked cheese soufflé - delicious... Bit late with this review as we were here at the end of last season for Bath's last home game....quick lunch and we were lucky enough to get tables at the Riverside. Out on the path that runs down from the street towards the Rec....well the number of people who stopped to look at the marvellous array of burgers and... More

A pleasant place to eat. We chose to sit outside overlooking the river as it was a beautiful autumn day. there are downsides to this area If you do not want a continuous line of tourists watching you eat. Didn't bother us, after all we were tourists!

Good selection for lunch at reasonable prices especially considering the location in a tourist hot spot. Good view over the weir below Pulteney bridge. Paid £14.40 for a very generous open salmon, cream cheese & rocket sandwich, homemade chocolate & orange cake & cappuccino. Complete cross section of customers - singles, romantic couples, families. Hot food also available.

From the outside this cafe looks very dark but once you settle in you realise that is very sweet and head beautiful views. It was a little expensive, around £8/9 for a sandwich...but it was delicious and very enjoyable (especially the goats cheese sandwich) It might be worth mentioning in light odd some of the negative comments here that the...
