We ate here on a spur of the moment night out and it was a great start to the evening. The menu is unusually tapas style. We had the Pre-theatre menu which was two small mains and a side dish from a limited menu. It was absolutely delicious. The flavours were intense on the pork belly, the middle-eastern lamb and... Had pre-theatre supper here recently and had a delicious meal - two small plates each with sides made for a great early evening supper. There was a good choice of wine and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. We particularly loved the pork belly dish as well and would really recommend it. Seemed good value for money and we will... More

Went to this restaurant as recommended by the guy in The Dark Horse bar. Lovely simple decor, lots of dishes to share, decent wine, helpful staff. Would happily return.

I was disappointed with this restaurant, which comes with high recommendations. I invited a friend to lunch there on Monday 6th March. It was not busy, we selected from the special lunch menu of petits plats. After ordering I was told that my main selection, sea bass, was not available. I chose an alternative, an aubergine dish that was overwhelmed... More

Came here for a Hen-doo dinner. Really super food and great value. Perfect for dining in a group as you get to try lots of delicious little plates. Food and wine was all great value. Minor criticism was that the room lacked a little bit of atmosphere - some music would have made a massive difference.

we were looking forward to our visit because one of our party of four had been before and spoke highly of it.The menu is imaginative and the food is excellent but waiting for an hour without so much as an explanation or apology was not acceptable . The sour faced waitress slammed the plates down in front of us without... More

Me and my fiancé visited on a busy Saturday night to celebrate our engagement, we had been meaning to visit for a while and we weren't disappointed. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and everyone seemed to be enjoying the lovely food just as much as we did! The staff were very friendly and attentive, and all seemed very happy.... More

Simply-furnished and with an authentic atmosphere, this was prior to a visit to the Theatre Royal in Bath, so appropriately the option was for the pre-theatre 'Petits Plats' menu at £12.95 per head: as might be suggested, the food came in smaller portions tapas-style, the per head cost allowing a choice of two mains and one side. Amongst our choices... More

We enjoyed the lunch time special of 3 small plates, basically I had fish and chips but lovely and gluten free (not battered fish :-) ) Our waiter made us smile as he said Enjoy! as he delivered the food and then remembered he was french and corrected himself to Bon appetite They had a separate gf menu which had... Popped in to La Barrique only due to passing and decided to give it a go. So glad we did. My wife and I both had a special which was 2 dishes with a side, and both had a sweet. The food was lovely. was a little concerned as the dishes are advertised as "Petit" but do not be put... More
