I have been to the pub and had great meals on more then one occasion. I have had steaks the last 2 times and they are fantastic value at £16 always cooked how you want them and the flavour is great. Really nice atmosphere and...staff are always friendly. Well kept beer at a good price. Will be my local of choice.More

The service was awful, rude landlord who’s not help at all. Food was sub par. Won’t come back again ever.

We called last Sunday for a drink on a hot day and ended up having a Sunday roast dinner which was excellent, good choice of beef, lamb chicken and pork. Two courses for twelve pounds starter and mains. Large plate of choice of meat with...plenty of fresh veggies nicely cooked and well served by pleasing staff. We had our dog with us so stayed outside in a nice decked area with colourful plants. Nothing too much trouble for the young girls that served us. Good choice of beer as well. Great thanks we really enjoyed our visit.More

Not having been here before we didn't know what to expect. My husband had the Hickory chicken, I had Jamaican Jerk Pork. Both meals were excellent and we couldn't believe the price. For the portion size and quality we would have expected to pay twice...what we did. We would definitely recommend this place.More

Every fortnight my family all meet up and we go for a meal. Yesterday we chose to have a Sunday lunch at the dun cow as the beer garden there is lovely. Always been for drinks in the place and it was recommended to try...there Sunday lunches. We booked a table and arrived on time and were seated at the back of the pub. The place looked a mess there were boxes every where and it looked really grubby. Sat down at the table waitresses were lovely asking if we would like some drinks. Drinks came to the table when my sister noticed her knife was dirty with gravy on. Now we were expected a pub lunch not a top 5* restaurant but whilst there is a pandemic right now you want clean cutlery. We swapped the knife with another one on the table and thought nothing of it. The roast chicken meals came out and looked very basic and a bowl of microwave veg came out also. The wasn’t a variety of veg so some of us could have some veg and some of us couldn’t So we all began to eat our small but hopefully tasty meal when a few of us realised our chicken was pink. I bit into the chicken before realising this and it what I can only describe as a pop sensation as I bit into it. I immediately spat it out and i could not eat it then when everybody has closer inspection on there chicken it was apparent it was pink. we spoke to the waitress who was very professional and said I can take it away and get a new one for you which I replied no. I was completely put off. Two of us at the tables chicken was fine whilst others three of ours was pink we decided no one was going to eat anymore and we were going to leave. The manager turned up to table with the worst attitude stating that two people had eaten a good bit of the microwave veg and that there was nothing wrong with the chicken he began to argue with us saying it wasn’t pink everyone else who had eaten there today had not complained and stormed off. The chef then turned up to the table arguing with us all saying his chicken was wasn’t pink he bought back the un cooked chicken that the waitress had taken away and began showing us parts of the cooked chicken. I said I’m happy to show you that the chicken in some areas is pink and he then stormed off saying “if you don’t like it don’t come back again”. This is possibly the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life. The manager returned and I decided this time he was going to take a picture of the pink chicken and show it to him as it seemed he wanted us all the pay full price for the meals we had not all eaten. As soon as I showed him the picture he then said please leave and we said we’d like to pay for our drinks as there was nothing wrong with them to which he replied “No just get out!” We insisted we paid as they were £30 worth of alcoholic drinks but he was having none of it!! So we thought actually because of how rude he was why should we pay! We were made to feel uncomfortable made out to be liars! And were spoken to like utter rubbish! So we left the manager then came out demanding we came back and paid for the drinks to which my father went in and did so! Worst experience dining out I’ve ever had! I’ve included a photo of the apparently not pink chicken!More

Fantastic value quality dinner. Great burger dinner for under £8.00 and a proper bar serving well kept beers. Big TVs for watching sports but low volume do no disturbances. I highly recommend the Dun Cow for dinner and a few drinks.

Are here for my birthday lunch and we weren’t disappointed, great choice of food (normal pub grub) portions are huge, food was delicious, staff were helpful and friendly setting up a table for us as we hadn’t booked. Don’t be put off when you go...through the front door as the eating area is at the back and although it looks a little tired and need of tlc the food is amazing. Will definitely return and recommend to friends and family.More
