So once again we went to the Rowbarge for an evening meal with 2 of our friends. From the time we arrived and we were met by friendly staff to the time we left we felt like we were the only ones being attended to. The table was great, service was fantastic and the food amazing. My wife had the... More

This is one of the best canal-side pubs you will find anywhere in the South of England. Beautiful setting, an atmospheric old building and staff with a warm smile. What more do you want on a Friday lunchtime?

Visited midweek one night with friends. Lovely restaurant, good beer, and one of the best steaks I've ever had. Good chunky chips - and the rest of the menu looked great, too. Staff were great. Definitely plan to go back and try more.

We could only book Saturday for a Mother's Day treat rather than Sunday. From the outset we were welcomed warmly. I ordered a round of drinks and got my mother a large G&T. It was served in a large glass with ice and lime together with Fevertree tonic, my mothers favourite. Mum remonstrated with me saying that "looks a large... More

We had a roast chicken meal and a steak sandwich. Really impressed with the chicken roast dinner, colourful, a good sized portion and the chicken was perfect. The steak sandwich came with chips and they were good, the first few bites of the sandwich was good but after that it was fat cuts and unfortunately inedible. We have had many... More

We went to The Rowbarge with a group of 5 including a Toddler. We had a really nice dinner. There is a wide ranging menu. There was a particularly good set of vegetarian options, interesting and well through dishes rather than the normal goats cheese tart. We went early and it was very quite but by the time we left... Always delivers good service and food. I have visited many times in the past couple of years. My only negative comment would be, the disabled toilet needs a good clean or refurb.

Tasty food, if a little expensive, but the car park is a disgrace. It was not even a wet day but, as we turned into the car park we were shocked at the state of it. If we hadn't booked and were meeting friends would have reversed out immediately and gone somewhere else. The car park is just a muddy... More
