It was a spur of the moment decision to try Chang Mai kitchen. A friend had recommended it as superior to other Thai places in town and it didn't disappoint. The staff were very helpful and found us a table quickly even though they were clearly busy. The food and service were excellent. I drank the house white as I... More

We came upon this delightful restaurant by chance, as it is located in a narrow alley. There are two lovely dining rooms upstairs. The menu is vast and varied, and everything we ordered was delicious! The service was also top notch.

My wife and I visit here for lunch whenever we in Oxford because the restaurant offers a good range of vegetarian gluten free options. The welcome was warm and hospitable and we were found a table promptly despite the restaurant being busy. We placed our order; due to a small misunderstanding I got the scallops as a starter instead of... More

Tucked down an alleyway of the main street, this restaurant is in an old (tutor, I guess) building. Service is polite and efficient and the food delicious. Thai curries come in large portions and have the spicy and herby flavors that only come from a good Thai chef. The Thai broccoli is crisp and fresh and rice portion generous. The... More

We were visiting Oxford for the weekend and ordered a take away from here for 16 people. When we collected it on Friday night, the restaurant was clearly busy but the staff were incredibly helpful and the food was very tasty and fresh.

I have been many years a customer of Chiang Mai and never been disappointed. However, on taking my husband for dinner (his first - and last visit) our experience could not have been worse. The restaurant was almost empty being 9pm, however, the food and service were terrible. Service was slow and not particularly friendly and the food was the... More

Had a lovely dinner here with my husband. Nice size and was busy without feeling packed. We had the coconut soup and squid for starters, both of which were delicious. We had curries for our mains, which were also very tasty. I had a roasted coconut juice too, which was very interesting! Really tasty meal, good service and we managed... More

Visited with my husband while in Oxford. Found it a little tricky to find the place since it was down an alley but once there had a lovely time. Lovely old building, loved to read about the history of it in the front of the menu. Food was good and staff were polite and efficient. Found it a little frustrating... More
