I went here in March and it was amazing. We were told at first earlier in the day it was fully booked for dinner as we had not booked in advance but we went back in the evening and we went straight in. I had...More

We were supporting our son who was running the Oxford half marathon and dropped in for coffee here at about the 13 mile mark before cheering him on. And almost missed seeing him. Service was slow, rather surly when we said, reasonably enough, that there...More

Just off the High Street with its throngs around the tourist information office, and a stones throw from Trinity Ashmolean and Bodlean this was a real find, honest hearty food served in a relaxed atmosphere where even the lone traveller feels comfortable. Great Bacon, locally...More

Went here for a production meeting for a play. Menu was disappointing (ended up plumping for a duck salad with pine nuts) which I was still hungry after eating. Service was good, our waitress was very nice, but the decor and food was just trading...More

The menu was not extensive (there was no meat on it the night we ate there) but the food we had was well prepared and delicious. Restaurant setting was quite rustic. Service was slightly off. We kept having to wave for attention even though there...More

Called in for a coffee on a Saturday morning. There were 6 people at most in the entire place, most already served with coffee. Asked the lady at the counter for coffee and she asked if we wanted it to go or in the cafe....More

The interior is very quaint, big wooden tables, candles and wild flowers. Food is amazing! Hearty British dishes, seasonal food. Prices are a tiny bit above average, but worth it.

Arrived at the entrance about 11:45. Invited to sit anywhere. Went into the larger room. A waitress then asked if we would be having lunch or just drinks. We advised just drinks & a menu arrived. At least 10 mins later one of our 4...More
