I highly recommend Iffley kitchen. I’ve been to India many times and the food here is authentic and absolutely delicious. I ate a vegetarian dish from
Kerala and it exceeded my expectations. The service is impeccable and the staff are friendly and welcoming. If you are in Oxford make a point to visit this restaurant. All the ingredients tasted so fresh and everything was presented beautifully. Even the chutneys are homemade.

This is my go-to place when I visit Oxford. We stay here (it is also the Tree Hotel) and the restaurant is exceptionally high value. After many visits we have never been disappointed and have had meals amongst the very best of "Indian" food we have tasted anywhere. They have developed their offering progressively and deliver on both their house specialties and the classics.

A Connoisseur of South Asian food

The food in Iffley Kitchen is delicious (I write as a South Asian), and this is undoubtedly the best Bangladeshi restaurant in oxford. Go out of the trodden path and try the fish in lemons and the vegetable niramishi , two special Sylheti dishes: authentic, delicately spiced, not oily , not too spicy, unique. The restaurant is set in lovely Iffley Village and has a beautiful sunny ambient space: it is not your average curry house. Staff are extremely friendly generous and warm.

Absolutely terrible service. The staff in the restaurant could hardly lift their heads to look at us let alone even say hello or please or thankyou. The buffet food was very sparce and there was not any labelling as to what we were eating, we just had to guess! I have never felt so uncomfortable in a food setting before.

We booked a two night stay at the Tree House Hotel for a 50Th anniversary and wife’s birthday plus a meal in restaurant. But on arrival we took one look at the place and both said it needed condemning , We took a look in the bar it was filthy , we had seen enough by then but a Muslim fellow shouted something from the bar being deaf I did not understand and went back outside to take photos to compare with advert on Hotels. Com at this the Muslim fellow came outside and put his head under the bonnet of a Ford Mondrian looked like it had broken down , well at least the car was being serviced. We took the photos and left , tried internet to get in touch with the tree house but not available. Tried Hotels.com who we booked with they tried to get in touch with them with no joy and told us to come back after 72 hours, meanwhile the tree house hotel has our money and we are stuck in Oxford with no where to go plus a spoilt weekend too boot . This advertising lark has to stop it’s a rip off , like to know how many more have had this at this hotel. My advice to anybody even thinking of booking this place visit first and take a look at a crap hole photos supplied.

This was a special meal in a lovely room with very good staff. The spicy food was delicious. The food looked inviting and everyone from 11yrs old to 73years old felt it was a very successful and happy evening

We was staying at the Hotel up from here. We'd been walking past it on the fri and Sat to Oxford and it was very busy. We chose to go on a Sunday evening. It was a lot quieter but don't let that put you off. It was the best curry we've ever had absolutely amazing. Piping hot, fresh and full of flavour. Just sorry its not our local.

Had the salmon shaslik with chips and some salad.
Ordered glass of wine with it.
10mins passed, no wine. Asked another waitress who said first waiter had forgotten!
When wine arrived, it was very good. Another waitress then told me ‘it was their mistake and the glass of wine was on the house.
When the bill came, I had been charged for it!
The salmon shaslik was a generous sized portion, but sadly only lukewarm.
The meal was good, but the overall experience wasn’t good enough for a 5* rating.

Well long awaited the return of Thali choice at iffley Kitchen
Have come home completely stuffed!!
This venue is a really friendly/welcoming one.staff can not do enough to make your visit enjoyable. Food was hot and vey yummy.

The food is perfectly made and served well I really enjoyed it .. the staffs are down to earth and very polite.the pub experience was just awesome I felt very comfortable and also the lovely outdoor garden….
