Went to beautiful Oxford..sightseeing and shopping for my birthday. Had lunch in The Rose. Staff were lovely and very friendly, food was gorgeous. I would highly recommend it.

Recommended by our walking tour guide, this cage was very good. They fresh teas, coffee and delightful cakes - a bit expensive at £4.25 a slice but well worth it. It proved to be a delightful stop off. Good service. Elegant/comfy surroundings

I had a cream tea, my wife had a a cake. The scones were fresh and very good; my wife's cake was moist and tasty. This a pleasant and unpretentious place which, unlike some other places in Oxford that serve afternoon tea, is not supercutesy.

Dropped in on a drizzly Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. Turned away newcomers. Service was very prompt and the tea and scones were excellent. Easy to see why they were so busy. Definitely stop here for a mid-afternoon break.
