Been several times with Mrs S. She likes her game, and enjoys it here. I like whatever they do: a nice fish, good lamb, you name it... It's a very attractive place to spend an evening: panelling, fire, comfy chairs, cheerful atmosphere. We will keep on going.

We were part of a wedding party of around 35. We were in the function room separate from the pub. The room was fabulous and atmosphere was just perfect with bar area included. The meal was stunning, three courses and all empty plates at the end. The menu choices were pre chosen and all guests seemed delighted with their choices.... More

Fab staff, great food, brilliant atmosphere, especially on Sundays! It's really lovely even for a quick drink after work.

It wasn't very busy when we went in on Christmas Eve. We were served quickly but the chap behind the bar wasn't overly welcoming. One of the pints was in need of a top up but he'd walked off straight after serving without time to request this. It took several minutes to attract his attention to top up. So I... More

Nice regular haunt. Food is of a very high standard and reasonably priced for the quality. Can be a little cold in the winter if you choose to sit by the window as, although very old and look great, are single glazed.

I have been there quite a bit and it is my favourite place to go for English cooking. I live nearby so not far to walk. The Staff are helpful and courteous. The Landlord/chef and his wife are delightful. the pub has won many awards, deservedly.

I planned a visit to Henley-on-Thames with some friends (a couple with a toddler), for a Saturday over last December. Called on Friday to book it along with requesting a highchair for the toddler. The next day, upon arriving, everything was set and we felt at home. The pub is very "homie feel", and it was busy but fairly quiet.... More

We booked on line and the my first impression from the exterior was that the pub 'looked' a bit spit and sawdust. It has not been 'gutted' and replaced with 'easy' furniture etc. It is an old pub with a series of small rooms, so if you were expecting an 'open plan' dining area you would be disapointed. The rooms... More

Description
Opened by Mark and Sandra Duggan in May 2011 what once was a run down and unloved pub has now become a charming and popular drinking and dining spot for locals and visitors alike. The front bar is charming with wood panelled walls and old brewery photos of a bygone era and has a roaring open fire during the winter months. The intimate dining room is classic and cosy and the newly refurbished terrace offers the perfect spot for outdoor dining with rattan furniture and large parasols in a tranquil setting. There is also the Stable Bar at the rear of the property which offers a private dining space for up to 32 people. The food itself is all freshly prepared by chef Mark and his team and offers the best of pub classics along with more modern dishes using seasonal and where possible local produce. That teamed with friendly, informative and efficient service has got The Three Tuns recommended in the 2013 Michelin Guide. The Tuns certainly has something to offer everyone...
