Yes, that's what I was asked when I came to settle the bill ? Let me explain. We hadn't booked, it was 12.30 and their car park was the only place we could find to park the car, having driven around Henley for 15 minutes....More

15 of us arrived from all over the UK. Restaurant fully aware of the occasion. Food appeared Immediately on our arrival as we had had to prebook. No offer of taking a drinks order. Starters were mediocre. I complained about the situation, the drinks arrived...More

If you want a good laugh this is the place to go in Henley. Failing that, you will cry. After paying over the odds for two drinks and moving into the garden, we were purposely ignored by the staff for a good five minutes before...More

Lovely weather, just turned up on a Saturday lunchtime - sat outside. We ordered 3 wine spritzers. A sharing fish platter. 2 burgers (tasted homemade) and 1 jumbo prawn, rice and mango. Overall, it was tasty and service was good. We paid £75, + optional...More

We visited this little gem on Saturday evening while visiting our daughter and were impressed with the friendly atmosphere. While the staff were all friendly and attentive, they weren't intrusive. The standard menu offered a good choice of dishes at reasonable prices, our meal for...More

Spotted The Little Angel when returning to Henley for the evening. We arrived right before 18:30, when they start serving dinner. The young man at the bar advised he was serving a customer and would be with us shortly. He showed us to a table...More

The Little Angel is all things to all people. It is a historic, perfectly placed pub and eating house at the foot of Remenham Lane, just before you go over Henley bridge into Henley on Thames. With a large car park, a reputation for great service, food and ambience, this pub is the busiest in the area and deservedly is on most itineraries of anyone visiting Henley on Thames. From the outside, it looks a quaint little pub but enter its hallowed doorway and you will find the most unique, beautifully designed space, with space being a key word. They can seat over 100 without a problem and can hold private functions for over 350 standing. Weddings, corporate functions, you name it, they can do it. They have a superb, professional and friendly team that can assist with most requests. Food is seasonal, fresh, cooked to order and with quarterly changing A la Carte and daily delicious specials, this pub is patronised all year round for lunch, dinner, drinks at their large and buzzy bar or when weather shows some joy, in their large, patioed garden that looks onto the quintessential Henley Cricket Club playing grounds. Jugs of Pimms, Pitchers of beer sit comfortably alongside ice buckets full of champagne and provence rose. If you haven't been to Henley or to The Little Angel, it is well worth a visit. The historic River Thames is just 100 yards away. Walk to it, from it or drive, as you wish but do GO!
